Very Detailed Sound, sweet Midband, presents Deep Ba

Very detailed sound, sweet midband, presents deep bass when it is in the recording.Front ported will suit most living rooms ie close to back wall placement.OH and they look pretty good which may help when convincing the wife that floorstanders is the way to go. I have mine hooked up to Unison Research Unico Amp and Unico CD player.Brilliant all rounders.

Just Turn Off Any Tone Controls. Made In Southend

Just turn off any tone controls. Made in Southend (Essex) England. Just add a Ruark Log-Rhythm to the Prelude II and you will have speakers capable of FULL POWER 20Hz to 20KHz. They do go higher, but I can only now hear to 19kHz (Yes at my age and, I can hear that "Teen-ring-tone - mosquito". It's between 16kHz and 18kHz with loads of 3rd harmonic distortion). My Cats respond to 20kHz, but that is as high as my professional audio tone generator will go. The Bass end is sufficient for most music without the Log-Rhythm's switched on. However, switch them on, and there is useful power down to below 10Hz. You won't here this, but feel it. It will shake the foundations!

In short; the better the audiophile equipment these are connected to the better. Oh, and No. I do not work for Ruark.
