Polk Audio RTi70

I've been using Polk for > 12 years and these are my 3rd set of their home speakers and I have only Polk in my cars. I continue to be impressed with this latest purchase. I bought the RTi70 along with the CSi30 and FXi30. Initially I did not hook up the RTi70 with bi-wiring but a few months later I ran the extra wiring. I have a Denon 3803 powering these speakers and have adjusted the tone such that bass and treble are up just a few from the top. I can turn my Denon all the way up and these towers will make your hair move and you don't hear any distortions / clipping / harshness. I replaced an Energy Take satellites setup and now I feel like I need to go back and watch all my DVD's over again due to the extra clarity coming from the RTi70's. The bass that these speakers produces are tight as a hard hitting hammer and I doubt you can get them to produce any vibrating flats or to distort regardless of your adjustments. The tweeters are exceptional and although I noticed they were not as good as the LS line when I compared them I couldn't justify the extra cost of the LS for the listening difference. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with these speakers for the incredible price, especially right now with a new line of RS models to come out in October.

I've found them to be a very musical speaker. Some of my old CDs reveal sounds that weren't noticable with my old speakers. For movies, none in the price range can compare. From the softest passages to the loudest they perform without any noticable distortion or breakup. I'd recommend them to anyone on a "working person's" budget. Your money will be well spent.
