Sounds Great!
My girlfriend got me this for my birthday this year as I have been after a good quality iphone dock for ages! I wanted something that I could plug my phone straight into that also offered amazing sound quality (also wanted something that looked good but this wasnt as much of a must).
This bose sound dock delivered the full package. The sound is amazing for such a small unit and really fills my living room with a good depth of sound. My friend is a sound engineer and even he said he thought it was good (he is a massive geek when it comes to this kind of thing and has been trying to get me to buy a hi end hifi for years).
I am over all very pleased with this bit of kit and would hands down recommend it to anyone. My only worry now is that rumour has it that Apple are planning on changing their standard connection on the next model, if they do this no current iphone devices will be compatible. This would suck!

Bose Docking Station
I was pleased with my docking station. It had a great sound but I can honestly say I didnt use it that often so i was very disappointed when the it stopped working. The problem was at the back of the dock where the adapter is plugged into. This consists of very fine pins that are very fragile. Mines unfortunatley broke after 11 months. I cannot find my receipt and the repair will cost me £75. As it cost me £200 for the doc im not paying that amount for a small repair. I would say this is a design fault. Would not recommend this product.

Not Too Pleased
I was looking forward to getting my Bose for a long time. I continuously searched for any deals, kept going into stores listening to it and just couldn't be more excited. The day finally came and I was like a little kid on Christmas morning! The sound is unbelieved for something so small. HOWEVER, when you are not listening to the music there is a very annoying sound that comes from it. I tried everything and no luck. After doing some research I found I was not the only one. :( In the end I ended up returning it because it was just too much money for something that annoyed me. I guess in the store you can't hear those kind of things. I wish I had before I brought the very expensive item home. If they could get that taken care of I would change my mind immediately and go back and buy another.

I love my Bose Souond Dock. Although it is more expensive than other docking stations it looks sleek and sounds great - crisp and clean. There isn't a single thing that I don't like about it.

I Have Had My Bose Original Docking Station For 14
I have had my Bose Original Docking Station for 14 months and thought it to be a pretty good piece of equipment. However, that is until something goes wrong with it!
The connector where the ipod sits seems to have either a loose connection or something similar wrong with it. When I phoned Bose, I was put through to their troubleshooting/repair service. I was informed that this part of the system was not covered under warranty and it would cost £75 to fix. I was told that the only time this part of the system would be covered by the warranty is immediately on first use. As far as I can see this is the only part of the docking station that is likely to need repaired.
Now we have used the system normally. Not been over zealous or aggressive when working the equipment.
If I had been aware of their policy before I bought this docking station I would have bought elsewhere.
So, its a good system, until something goes wrong. I would expect to get more than 14 months of normal use out of such an expensive purchase, and then for it to be covered under warranty. The warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on!
I have to update this review almost immediately. I have just received a phone call from Bose Technical Support. I have been informed that the information I received re: regards the warranty was incorrect and that my system will now be fixed free of charge. The service was excellent and the customer service has been second to none.

The Bose Sound Dock Is A First Class Piece Of Kit.
The Bose Sound Dock is a first class piece of kit. Many years ago I went to a concert with 'Sound by Bose' and the sound was dreadful. It was probably thirty years before either they sorted out their products or I found that the setup at the concert was all wrong and not their fault! I use it with a 5th Generation Ipod and it means that I am able to have music in the sitting room, where the distaff side would never have tolerated a Hi Fi system with huge speakers. I don't know how loudly it can play without distortion, because my ears won't tolerate it before it starts to distort! Superb sound - clear and without any distortion that I can identify. Works equally well for solo guitar or Beethoven's Choral Symphony with all the works! it is slightly awkward to move around because of the heavy transformer and long power cable. Mine is a Mark 1 and has limited controllability with the remote.
There is a new model now, but if it is as good as this then it is strongly recommended.

The Bose Sound Dock Review - Once You've Got All Y
The Bose Sound Dock review - Once you've got all your music on an iPod, you will need plug-in speakers. These can range from nasty cheap things that hurt your ears (my daughter's iDog is a good example, but she loves it because she can cuddle it) to the Bose, which tops the range at £200 (or £300 for the excellent portable one.)And the sound quality is just as good as a decent component system. The only person I know who has been able to tell the difference between my Bose and my system costing five times as much has been a professional recording studio technician.
