We Live In An Area That Doesn't Seem Good For Dab
We live in an area that doesn't seem good for DAB reception, but the PURE Siesta locked into about 20 stations, and none exhibits any major sound quality problems. The overall sound quality for such a small unit is good compared to others that we have had.The dual-alarm (both with 7-5-2 modes) setup is comprehensive and the Alarm Off button is easy to find! The downsides are that it has so many functions, almost nothing is changeable without going through a sequential operation, and the auto-dimming back-lit LCD clock is very difficult to see at night if, like me, you are short sighted. If you could switch off the auto-dimming, it would be better, but, for all the settings it has, that isn't an option! Finally, it is impossible to cancel an alarm ahead of time and have the alarm resume. This was a feature that our old Audioline TimeTrak had - if you pressed the alarm cancel button before the alarm was due to go off, it cancelled it for that morning only. If you wake up 10 minutes early, it is easy to stop the alarm waking your partner up, but still have the alarm set for the next morning. Another useful function lost to "progress" in my opinion!
