The Rio Forge Sport, For Me, Is The Only Player Th

The Rio Forge Sport, for me, is the only player that does everything I want -

1. Uses standard batteries

2. Doesn't need any software to load it up

3. No hard drive (flash based) Drop it all you want!

4. Removable memory (If you want you can load new flash cards in or swap one into my camera in a pinch)

5. Audible Compatible (I like listening to audio books)

Yes it doesn't hold every song, but other than that it's the only player that has a flash drive attached and one of the few that wont end up in the trash when the internal battery fails.

For A Piece Of Equipment With No Moving Parts, The

For a piece of equipment with no moving parts, the Rio Forge Sport MP3 player did not last long. I've emailed the company twice, and only received a form letter in return... essentially "...there is an out-of-warranty replacement fee of $69..." Well, with my extra US $69, I'd prefer to investigate another company, with a longer warranty period, and more confidence in their product.

I couldn't disagree more! For the money, I don't think you can find a better player. Maybe you guys picked up a virus from some illegal downloads or something. The expandable memory is a real plus. Its like being able to to throw a different cassette into an old Sony Walkman to instantly change or add to your play list. Of course you don't really have to worry with 512 mb of internal memory and an FM tuner that you can record from. I like the Rio Forge alot, it is easy to use, built tough and comes with an arm band for jogging and working out.

I could not agree more! What a cheap piece of junk! Rio is off my list of reliable products. Rio should stop stinking up the industry with their cheap, unreliable junk.
