This Is The 2nd Philips Hdd065 That I've Purchased

This is the 2nd Philips HDD065 that I've purchased in the last year and a half. The first model lasted a month then turned faulty, the 2nd lasted a year and a week - just long enough for the warranty to expire. Philips customer services do not recognise that there is a common fault with this model. I will recommend friends and colleagues NOT to purchase this product. I am greatly disappointed with Phillips as a company for the lack of understanding that I received whilst trying to resolve this matter. I will not be purchasing anything else that bears the Philips name as I believe the products that they sell to be sub standard.

The Philips Hdd065 Mp3 Player Itself Is Not Bad At

The Philips HDD065 MP3 player itself is not bad at all. However, the act of putting songs on it is a different story altogether. On average I would say it takes around 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes to send 1 album to the MP3 player! The program doesn't seem to recognise that I am connected to the Internet. Therefore, it will not name my songs and albums automatically, so I have to do it myself. This would be tolerable, but as well as this, when the songs are being sent to my MP3 player, it won't recognise the names that I've put in, so I have to rename them again. This is what takes up all the time, and for this reason I have only filled a relatively small amount of the space I purchased.

Up until a few weeks ago I was willing to put up with this on the basis that I do not a have a lot of money to buy a new player, and also because I think it would be very difficult to sell on to someone else. However, the program now will not recognise my MP3 player when it is plugged in, and it can only suggest that I "download a plug-in". I can not count the amount of times I have downloaded the same plug-in, only to be told the same thing again. I would never recommend this product to anyone. In fact, I am going to buy an iPod as soon as I figure out what to do with this MP3 player! They might cost more, but at least you can put songs on them.

I Definitely Would Not Purchase It Again, And Woul

I definitely would not purchase it again, and would not advise other to either. A week after I brought the Philips HDD065 it froze, I had to wait until the battery had run out before I could use it again. This has happened dozens of times since I brought it and it is extremely annoying. This also happened to a friend of mine, who had the same one.

Now after a year or so only one earphone works, and it isn't the earphones because I have tried different ones, now I have to turn the end of the earphones that is in the socket until I find a place where they both work.
