Mercury KOB 510

Although this Mercury KOB 510 Portable MP3 Player has a large LCD, it isn\'t backlit, and the interface is terrible. When navigating an MP3-CD, you have to know what number folder and track you want, or go on guess work, as the ID3 tag comes up only after it\'s started playing and after a header saying "[MP3]" has scrolled past. As it doesn\'t show the filename either, navigation is hard.

The earphones supplied are awful, I used the earphones from another walkman, and the sound was much improved.

Although the in-line remote was well designed, the absence of a LCD means that if you have the unit in a pocket or somesuch, you have to know what track is next.

A very nice mp3 player with lots of features. Cheap altough versatile. Pretty good quality of audio. Nice design. 2 remote controls. An AC-DC adapter.
