Don't Read Any Decent Review Of The Mch Media Cs-o
Don't read any decent review of the MCH Media CS-one, its all lies. This is undoubtedly the worst mp4 player I have ever owned. the first one they sent to me the USB did not work. we had to pay to send it back and as a refund they said they would send us another player with a free speaker. the speaker never came and the power supply failed. then I gave up and spent some money on a power supply. the 'touch-screen' is actually a slam screen because you feel like punching it in frustration as the screen is basically a screen with buttons beneath it. It has no multi touch and you have to press different sections of the screen for different operations. The music player is extremely poor because the screen is so unresponsive that when you let go of the skip button it keeps on going and you literally have to slam it on the table for it to work. the screen is poorly contrasted and the colours are dull. it is not sturdy either(while my brother was using it he 'stroked' the "1.3 MP"-more like "0.00013 MP"camera and it then became stuck inside the case rendering the entire touchscreen unusable, so now its nothing but a fat slab with some coloured lights on it. To sum up this is the electronic equivalent of a landmine, hidden away where no one can see it and then bam! you've lost an arm and a leg, which is what I had to do to buy the thing. After dismantling it i found the memory is just a kingston 16gb soldered in, £80 worth of £20 memory ...biggest.....rip off....ever.
I found this review not helpful because the reviewer is obviously currently out on license or waiting for the circus to come to town so they can don their clowns outfit and perform for the masses.
They comment on reliability and build quality and then in the same sentence use terms like "punching it" and "slam it on the table". Might I suggest that on this occasion the issue is more likely to be user rather than hardware.

Bought This 16gb Player In Oct 09 For 75 Pounds.
Bought this 16GB player in Oct 09 for 75 pounds.
Had extensive use of it and the battery life is phenomenal - yet to find a battery life meter - so this is a downside (or laziness on my part, haven't even checked the manual)..
Also using it as a backup for my work stuff (standard flash drive)
Pros: - Size, it's not going to be misplaced. Feels solid, could be a function related to it's size!
Cons: - Size (it's big and chunky)
My verdict: - For the price, it's an outstanding piece of kit, feels solid as if it will last a while.

I Think That I Must Have Got A Different Product T
I think that I must have got a different product to the other two reviewers!
The touch screen on the MP4 Touch is laughable - you have to press really hard (i.e. so that the screen goes wobbly) to get anything to register. (and yes, I have tried touching it softly, as described in the help manual, nothing happens)
The on/off control is a touch pad on the top of the box, and *is* sensitive, which means that it turns itself on when you put it in your pocket or bag.
The changing of the volume, rather than being a menu item or a control on the side of the box, is a slide between two of the sensors, so that you end up going into other menus or changing track trying to get the wretched thing to come off mute! (which it goes onto automatically if you try to change the volume)
The sound quality itself jumps, even on the same track, so you can't actually hear parts.
The connector for the headphones is obviously custom made for the MP4 player, so it won't work (even with the adaptors they provide) with any of my nice (i.e doesn't hurt the ears) headphones, or our external speakers.
The "help file" is a joke. They made it a pdf on an MP4 which has an e-reader on it, but can't read pdfs, so you have to have access to a computer to be able to find out how to work even the basics - and they don't actually put anything complicated or trouble shooting in the help file.
Warning - if you didn't correctly label your music when you copied it off the CD (in one of the back menus of Window Media Player - heaven help you if you dare to use a different copier), then you can't file your music according to artist or type, even if you keep it in separate folders (it can't actually *see* those folders)
I gave the battery life two stars because it was at least close to the 28 hours as described, but having to charge it for pretty much near those 28 hours really does negate the point!
Tech support were at least reasonably helpful the first time I contacted them. The second time, when I pointed out that I needed an answer within 24 hours as I was leaving the country and was using the MP4 as my entertainment system on the plane, they didn't bother to respond.
In short - do not bother! It may be cheap, but it certainly isn't cheerful, and is now doing the job of a very expensive paperweight!
