The Sony Mz-nh900 Unit Is A Must Have For All Md L
The Sony MZ-NH900 unit is a must have for all MD lovers. It's sound quality is outrageous, as well as the construction of the unit. The battery life is very good as well, specially in LP2 and LP4 modes. I own one of these and all I can say is that I wouldn't change it for any mp3 or mp4 player.

The Quality Of Recording On The Sony Mz-nh900, Usi
The quality of recording on the Sony MZ-NH900, using the packaged stereo microphone, is fabulous even for violin which is hard to do well.
Perfect for a musician who wants anything up to CD quality recording and variable speed constant pitch playback.
The Hi MD disks are now $4.75 Australian and I was given 5 free MD disks as part of the pack which included the mike as well.
Also can be used like MP3 player but this is a bonus for downloads of lots of music.
What a brilliant, informed and useful review this is. I love this reviewer's detailed style and grasp of the subject. As a Sony Walkman Pro cassette user for many years I found the transition to live recording of music on MD hard going. Sony MD controls are challenging, you can hardly see the record meter and getting familiar with the richness of functionality in terms of setting mic sensitivity, MD formatting etc using the tiny multi-function controls is really tough. Once you get there its OK and the recording quality using the Sony ECM-MS907 mic is amazing. Backlighting of the display would be a great advantage. I understand that the remote with the MZ-NH1 has a 3 line illuminated display. All Sony MD recorders should have this accessory.
