Sony CMT-SPZ90

Purchased my SONY CMTSPZ90 in January 2009. The sound quality is fair to good for a small machine but the noise the CD changer makes on start up is ridiculous. The aerial is almost useless and took several days to get aligned to produce a decent reception. Unfortuneately the tuner has developed a fault now. I still have a few weeks left on the warranty and as the supplier is out of stock has agreed to refund the amount I paid for my purchase. After I experienced the problem with the tuner, I decided to seek out comments/reviews on line about this product. Quite a lot of people have had problems with the tuner, some after only 3 to 6 months so I guess going 11 months I was lucky. Even luckier to be able to get my money back. So, will I be purchasing another SONY CMTSPZ90. NO, and my advice to anybody reading this who is thinking of buying one is, THINK AGAIN. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

The Sony CMT-SPZ90 is an excellent DAB radio. More stations than I knew existed. Works great even with the thin wire ariel supplied.CD player compact & good sound.

Delighted.Bought For £99.99, which I consider a real bargain.

it has cassette and can play three CDs, although is rather noisy and I have had the same problems with tuner which stopped working in my original Sony CMT-SPZ90 after six months. Dixons replaced unit only for the same problem to happend on this model after just two months!

There is some sort of fault with the tuner so when I return the animal I have at the moment (only been using for 3 months) I will not be replacing it with a Sony.
