I Have Had This System For 9 Years, Since It Came

I have had this system for 9 years, since it came out in late 2001. I couldn't believe my ears on how loud this thing can go and the bass is really impressive. There isn't a bad point considering this thing has been around 2001 you don't get any wireless (that wasn't invented when this thing was invented!) or any mp3 input - but what you do get is an aux in which serves as my PC/LAPTOP/XBOX/PS2/PS3 Sound system over the years.

The tuner is great, has an alarm clock etc presets max sound dbb, very high quality.

I have came to write this review because I don't see any other mini hi-fi's out there these days with this amount of power. I'm due to get a 5.1 surround system for the PS3, but the FW-C399 will still have no.1 spot for CD's.

It's old yes, but can easily beat any NEW system out there.

I think i'll keep this system until it conks out. 9 years of pretty much constant use. oh and it has been used at 2 18th birthday partys at full blast. Top Notch! BUY ONE!

I've Had A Philips Fwc399 System For About 6 Or 7

I've had a Philips FWC399 system for about 6 or 7 years now, and I still love it. It has lived in my bedroom, my garage, and now my dorm room at college and it continues to give me great performance. I never really use any of the features (Incredible Surround, Max Sound, etc), but sometimes using them will give you a better/different sound, depending on what you're listening to. The bass is clear, punchy, and loud (when you want it to be). The highs are nothing amazing, but certainly nothing to scoff at, either. It really does sound great. For a few months, I even hooked up the speakers to an amp in my car to use the woofers as pseudo subwoofers. They handled it without a problem and performed well. I wasn't trying to shake my car, just add depth to the music, and that's exactly what they did.7 years later, and people are still telling me "wow, those are good speakers." Great price, too.

My Philips Fwc399 Is Now 7 Years Old. It Cost Me O

My Philips FWC399 is now 7 years old. It cost me only £150 back then and it still pretty sick.I can produce beats and make pretty heavy tunes that sounds almost perfectly equalized when played in a club - can you believe that!?I'd recommend buying this system even over some of the much better makes at much higher prices!

It Sounds Great. I Have Had This Stereo On A Daily

It sounds great. I have had this stereo on a daily since I was 17 years old. For the past 7 years I've used this as my primary computer speaker and still works great. The bass tones that come out of this speaker always seem to surprise me given the relatively small size of the speakers. The overall amount of sound (volume) that can come out this unit before cracking its also nothing to laugh at either. The settings for "max sound".

All I Can Say Is Before I Purchased This Stereo I

All i can say is before i purchased this stereo i had a Samsung stereo which was pretty cool it was quite loud and the bass was ok the wattage was only 30 watts. One of my friends had this stereo and when i heard it i was wow what a machine i couldn't believe the bass and how loud it went without being distorted and once i found out how much watts it had i linked it up to my electronic drums to see if it sounded ok and yes yes yes it sounds really good and even when turned up loud i mean once maxed out it still sounds clear as hell no distortion i need ear plugs though if you can buy this stereo i mean it buy it cause you wont be disappointed
