I want to note that the HDMI pass thru is not so useless without a Sony BR DVD Player and a Sony Bravia TV. So, if you have all sony electronics wich are "Bravia Sync" compatible, then the HDMI pass thru becomes extremely useful as a switching device. Without that you will be needed pressing several buttons on three (it is minimum) remote controls to make it all work together.The Dolby 5.1 sounds works not bad as for a $160.0 receiver. Set-up was fairly easy. There are no extra inputs for other sound sources, but it should, because it is not availble to plug in some cassette player or CD player. It has too small display to read from a distance.So, home theater receiver sounded great for the price. Bravia Sync works.
