I Bought The Nad T751 As I Had Heard That Nad Were
I bought the NAD T751 as I had heard that NAd were serious about making an AV amp that was as good at music as it was at film soundtracks. WHat I had heard wasn't far wrong. I had previously tested the 320 bbe 350 and the 370 and decided to buy the T751 blind... kinda a gamble and the fact that I had just sold my car.
I teamed it up with the 541i cd player and a set of B&W 602 s3 speakers for the front a Wharfdale rubiance for the centre and 2 cruddy Grundigs for the rear attached with mid range cabling fron van de hull, leaving out the sub as I have very twitchy neighbours.
In stereo I have tested the amp with Fila Brazilia, Opera, CLassical, Drum and Bass for pappa and things like Nightmares on wax, and it conveys all these with a similar fluency found in the 350 and the 370.
Movies are good, but not fantastic. I think that is partly due to the other equiptment i have and the size of my front room. The 3 fronts produce as good a quality as I can get from my dvd, while the backs are pretty muffled. However if you tinker with the levels and positioning it becomes enjoyable and engulfing.
I have ordered a new pioneer dvd player, which I am sure will give me a fuller sound witin movies.
Don't get me wrong. This is a far better than I expected, I just know it can get better with higher quality components.
And because I got the T751 amp graded from hyperfi for £249.99 it was a total bargain.
