The Shure Srh840's Are Certainly Worth Looking Int
The Shure SRH840's are certainly worth looking into.
Pros: Great clarity and wide sound stage. Clear, thick, and smooth bass extension all the way down, with very little distortion even at higher volumes. High end crisp and defined, but not harsh or grating. Hands down you won't find a better sounding pair of headphones for the money. Replaceable cord and ear pads eliminate many of the traditional issues encountered during the life of your headphones.
Neutral: Big, Not well suited for activities such as jogging or anything requiring lots of head movement (Though this gripe is more inherent to all over ear headset designs, and is not flaw on Shure's part). Slides off head fairly easily.
Bad: While audio quality is top notch, I found the headband quality to be sub-par. Twice it has developed stress cracks on the telescoping portion, both times on the left side, and both times right about same level as the imprinted 2.
