I Bought These Earphones To Use With The Ipod Nano
I bought these earphones to use with the ipod nano. My first shure earphones.
Unfortunately these did not meet my expectations for the purpose I bought them for.
Cable: Too thick and not flexible enough for portable mp3 players. This makes the tangles difficult to get rid of.
Connector: A bit too thick which doesn't leave enough space for the USB connector to plug in (to update music and charge and so on). This means that the earphones have to be disconnected when connecting the USB connector.
Sound: I knew I was buying a set of earphones which was pretty quiet on the base side before I bought it. This really is. If you like your base then don't buy it.
Ear connector: This seems to fit fine for me. The only annoying thing I found was that it can get a bit fiddly when you need to take it off and on to talk to people. Since it goes over the back of the ears and have to be twisted and inserted this was a bit annoying.
Accessories: There are enough fittings for the ear so I would be surprised if none of them work. Not sure about the carry case though. It is just a case and not something that will for example reel in the cable to prevent tangles.
Verdict: Not for portable mp3 players. Could be good for other purposes.

Their Technical Components Are Robust And Manage H
Their technical components are robust and manage high volumes well. Their frequency response is as wide as a barn door, and reassuringly so at the lower frequencies, compared to other in-ear 'phones of competitive price.
Great comfort: It's simply not an issue: I've woken up several times with them still attached!
For sound isolation they score 10/10, but also an equally important 10/10 for sound INSULATION: The wife doesn't complain when I play them loud and proud!
Worth EVERY penny: I'm seeking to replace like-for-like.

Apart From Some Discomfort, The V Are Great Earpho
Apart from some discomfort, the v are great earphones for the price. Very little distortion, good all round sound. I prefer the Foam buds as they seem to isolate the sound better. Good value (even when i bought them for £65 over a year ago), i think they're half that now, bargain! I have used mine frequently for easily over a year now and i have seen no wear and tear, apart from the foam buds, but these can be replaced.

Just Realised How Much Better Than The Standard Cr
Just realised how much better than the standard Creative Zen headphones these are. Weak & tinny replaced with full & powerful. Managed to pick the e2c model up for £30 on Amazon - awesome for the price!! Hope the SE110 replacements will be as good.
Unfortunately SE110 replacement was lower quality than the e2c. Almost muffled & with added rattle in the left ear when playing loud & heavy. Cust service allowed me to upgrade to SE210 set for £15 which are sounding as good (maybe slightly better?) than the e2c model.

Uncomfortable, Takes Time To Fit Them In. Sound Is
Uncomfortable, takes time to fit them in. Sound is not that impressive base, could be softer and wider. I would not recommend the Shure E2c headphones.

Based On The Reviews (7 Ok Out Of 9) I Chose To Bu
Based on the reviews (7 ok out of 9) I chose to buy the E2c over similarly-priced alternatives (UE, Sennheiser). The first time I received the earphones I was only too eager to try it out as it was shipped and was really disappointed at first as the sound was very bad (worse than the standard ipod earphones) and the fit was no good. I was ready to shout blue murder and set the earphones aside - and confirm the negative reviews. Later that day, I took the time to change the rubber sleeves to the one that fit my ears, and somewhat hesitantly tried it on again - and it was no longer bad! I took out my other headphones to compare the sound quality and I can say for sure that the E2c's are not bad after all. The key was to find the sleeve that fits you right. Although the bass is not heart thumpingly heavy it is reasonable (unless you wanted to go deaf). You don't even need to adjust your player's equalizers. I must admit you can also hear nuances in the music you can't hear using just the standard-issue earphones. However, due to the snug fit of the earphones, it is not recommended to use it whilst you are moving around as you can hear the thump-thump of your footsteps eachoing in your ears which is a tad uncomfortable, not to mention you need to be aware when crossing the street as you might not hear oncoming traffic. To sum up, the E2c is good value for money, good quality, and a recommended buy.

I Originally Wrote A Review For These Before Havin
I originally wrote a review for these before having tried all the different sized bud things. At the time I found them uncomfortable and with a very poor sound quality.
Having spent some time finding the buds that fitted me well and working how to fit them in my ear, with the cable looped over the top of the ear the sound was transformed.
They can get caught out occasionally by some really fast hard rock but for the most part sound really accomplished and are excellent value for money.

Some People Say To Change Sound Settings On Player
Some people say to change sound settings on player to get the best sound from your Shure E2c - why should I? Plus it doesn't work, some people say with time these get more bass sound. Not true.
...in June 2011....The wires were too thick and not flexible so hard to wrap around the ear. Finally a wire contact broke at the split of the earpieces and I had a good reason to throw them away. Bose In ear here I come
