The Sound Is Outstanding But The Comfort Is Terrib
The sound is outstanding but the comfort is terrible, it is painfull to use them for more than 2 hours. If you will use them for long periods they get heavy and start to make a lot of preasure on the ears. I will start looking for something else.
I have a set & agree, but my solution was stretching out the headband to create a small flat spot on the metal section of the headband & then aplying a length of self adheasive sponge under the headband > makes a big difference & is far more comfortable to wear over longer periods !

Very Good Headphones, However After A Hour Of Usag
Very good headphones, however after a hour of usage they become a little bit uncomfortable. In this price range those are the best. I recommend AKG K518 DJ.
If you wanna be DJ these are excellent headphones due to their noise isolation.

Akg K518 Le In My Opinion, Thes
AKG K518 LE
In my opinion, these headphones sound awesome. Based on the sound quality i'd say you're getting good value for money (I live in Toronto Canada and picked them up for $100) however I do agree that there is some discomfort around the edges of my ears after about half an hour of straight wear.
The fact that I wear glasses doesn't help the comfort either. These were issues that I did not initially encounter during my brief test session with them in the store. I don't regret purchasing them, but I will say the "snug" fit will take some getting used to. If I'm just sitting down and listening, adjusting my glasses to sit a bit higher in the ear cups isn't a big problem. If I'm listening to them on a train or bus, the ambient noise is usually enough to somewhat mask the sound of my music from the outside if I have it cranked up.
All in all, these headphones sound great for the price, but comport may become an issue, especially if you wear glasses. (*side note, the snug fit sure does keep your ears warm in the winter lol)

This Is A Review Of The Akg K 518 Dj Headphones:
This is a review of the AKG K 518 DJ Headphones:
Good points - Sound Quality. Price. Durability. The fact that they cant fold up so you can fit them in a (big) pocket.
Bad Points - Comfort, sound leakage.
It may look as though there's a lot more good than bad, but I would not recomment these headphones. Yes, they look the part. And yes, the sound quality is higher than what you would expect to find in this price range. However, not only are they uncomfortable, they don't (properly) fit my head. Before you assume I have an unusually large head, I wear a 7 1/2 " hat which is about average. they will fit, but I have to tilt them back and they always feel _neearly_ comfy. And this isn't a 'wearing in' issue, I've had these cans for well over a year and worn them A LOT.
The other real negative: I travel on public transport, a lot. Tube, buses etc. you CANNOT wear these at anywhere near full volume on public transport, or most places where anyone else is to be frank. When put on near full volume (not as loud as I usually listen to my music, mind you) it sounds as if I'm playing my music on a weak sound system. You could hear the music from the other side of the bus.
If you want to buy these, ask to listen to them first, make sure they PROPERLY fit your head, and also, listen to them playing your music loud when they aren't on your head, and see how loud they are.

Amazing sound quality and surprisingly cheep.
Amazing headphones! For the price there is probably nothing better and they look cool! You could easily find other headphones that are a lot worse and twice as much! Well recommend AKG K 518 DJ.

Good sound quality, especially the clear bass. Nice soft cushions.
Excellent sound considering the price. I paid 59 euro for mine in a shop (not on the internet). If you want a bit better quality, you will have to pay at least twice as much.
Well recommend AKG K 518 DJ.

If You're Looking For Phones In This Price Level,
If you're looking for phones in this price level, these are the ones. Great Sound, substantial and quality feeling, not too pricey. Although not too comfy, may need to be stretched out if you have an average size/big head.
I agree with this review his description of sound and comfortability level correspond with mine.

These Are A Natural Step Up From Akg K26p, And Are
These are a natural step up from AKG K26P, and are worth saving for instead of buying the K26P. The K26P has a feeling of being able to break at any point, as the plastic parts give quirking noises every time I put them on. The K26's are also more bass-heavy.
The 518's offer a very balanced sound, and can easily be driven by an mp3 player. I recommend them. My pair is still in the break-in period, and am eager to wait for what they can offer once the sound profile settles after the mandatory 50 hours of play-in time.
