With A Good Arm And Cartridge All Setup Correctly

With a good arm and cartridge all setup correctly this TT is as good a LP12!

Awesome, I love it.

Bought My Systemdek Secondhand. Changed The Fitted

Bought my Systemdek secondhand. Changed the fitted cart for an Ortofon 2M Blue. Replaced the phono leads as they were well past their sell by date!

Adjusted the bearings on the Mission 774LC arm.

AWESOME. Rich, deep, tight base, glorious treble & timing.

If you are after great sound for your pound then this has to be at or near the top of your list.

To get something noticeably better than this you'll be looking at spending £800+

Ok So This Is A Proper Audiophile Turntable, You H

Ok so this is a proper Audiophile turntable, you have to move a belt to change speeds and the arm doesn't return automatically to rest when a side is finished. If you are in the market for this (a developed version is available from Audio Note) you're not worried about those things.

What marked out this turntable when it appeared around 20 years ago was the sound quality for the price. It consistently won "best turntable under £1000" when you could get a complete setup with tonearm and cartridge for well under £400. The bass is smooth, the top end with classical records is sweet but for rock guitar it can scream - in a good way. I cannot ever see myself parting with mine.

Just thought I would say I still have it. I had to replace the belt in 2010 as the table was running about 2% slow. Replacement belts are freely available online. This is still a great turntable, second hand ones often come up on auction sites for less than half the new cost. Audio Note make the TT1 and TT2 which are brand new, and are actually developed versions of the IIx. Systemdek themselves have now re-entered the market with a new model too.
