I Must Say First Of All That I Would Never Buy Any
I must say first of all that i would never buy anything only based on the brand, so being a sony didn't influence me.
I've bought the DCJ01 about 8 months ago and i'm very happy with it, it's an excellent player, and my model has a remote on the headphones chord with backlit lcd and an amazing battery lifetime.
Some titles don't play well on the screen. Being portuguese, some titles have characters not supported by it, so nothing appears, just a track number. I'm also afraid of using it because of the remote is so flashy that attracts too much attention from the wrong people. And the price is a bit high here in Portugal(about 250dollars). Nothing's perfect.

What about sound quality? Quality of construction? Battery life? Ease of finding the song you want, especially MP3s? Does it recognize folders on MP3 CDs?
I'm sorry Mr. Pierre, I have to disagree with your review. There are so many products similar to the D-CJ01 that style and design is a key factor when looking at these discmans. This Sony is constructed beautifully. Of course, you can find others at lower prices, but this Sony has a fascinating design.
