I took an iPhone 8 in for repair or replacement minus the case and the Sim card. I specifically asked whether I should remove the protective screen cover in case the iPhone was replaced - and the employee said that if the phone was replaced then they would fit a new cover for me at no expense to me (which incidentally, is the same as I was told by Apple Support when I initiated the process). I went in to collect my iPhone to find a new one had been provided with no screen protector on it - and the Stormfront staff would not put one on for me unless I bought it - entirely contrary to what I had been told. I detailed this issue by email with their 'customer services' department and they refused to supply a new cover citing that "we cannot go back and fully review the conversation that was had between yourself and the staff member" .... ....and stated that their confirmation of initial appointment email said that if a phone was replaced then the original screen protector would be disposed of. In fairness, it did say that amongst the significant amount of 'small print' (around 5 pages worth) ..... ..... but when you ask Stormfront staff about the protective screen and are told it doesn't have to be removed - then why would you believe otherwise. The upshot is that I have got a phone back but without the protective screen - so I have been short changed. I know I will only have to cough up around £30 for a new protective screen - but it's the principle that counts - Stormfront should stand by what their staff tell the customers and indeed train them to say the correct thing in the first place. I WON'T BE USING THEM EVER AGAIN, THINK THEIR APPROACH TO THIS HAS BEEN UNSYMPATHETIC, WRONG AND LACKING ANY COMMERCIAL COMMON SENSE/ETHICS!
