Yes, I've worked with a number of script feed-back firms but have only ever got more than my moneys worth from Industrial Scripts. Screenplay dialogure should not be "on the nose" but truly constructive anaylsis has to be. Aspiring writers need to know if their teasured scripts meet the high professional standards that the industry quite rightly insists on. Sure its disappointing to be told exactly why you need to go back to the drawing board. Doing that is so much easier though when the professional insight of an Industrial Script consultant is so inspiring you just can't wait to get started! I'm a grafter not a genius so I had to toil hard before my work was promoted through the Industrial Scripts Talent Connector programme. That got me connected with a long established London-based film studio who want to read all I've got and whatever I write in the future. Yes, I'm a great fan of Industrial Scripts and for the very best of reasons! Stephen M. Hunt stephenmhunt.webeden.co.uk

Industrial Script's script reading training was excellent - informative and thorough. There was time for individual queries to be answered in an informal and professional forum. Since undertaking this training, the company has gone from strength to strength and is providing a wide range of screenwriting services. This is backed up by Industrial Scripts having great industry connections. I thoroughly recommend them and have done to friends and colleagues.

A very useful range of services. The script report was very enlightening. A reality check on the work needed for the project to meet industry expectations. The report was detailed and thorough and honed in on the areas of the script that needed attention. It gave me a good idea of how to proceed in order to take the script to the next level. Fees are reasonable and the service courteous and efficient. Would recommend if you are looking for professional advice on how to proceed with your project.

I had a very rewarding experience working with Industrial scripts - using both their script doctoring and script reading services. My screenplay has improved no end and is now ready to go out into the industry. I have previously found it incredibly hard to get constructive and insightful script development advice from what is, for most of us, quite a closed industry, so Industrial's help was invaluable.

I did the 1-day Industrial Scripts Script-Reading Course and 6 months later I have a growing portfolio of high-level clients for whom I regularly script-read on a freelance basis. When I took the course I was a complete beginner with no knowledge of the script-reading process, and by the end of the day I understood the underlying principles of how to write a synopsis and break down a script. Just as importantly the course gave hard-nosed advice on how to approach script-reading as a profession and how to navigate the initially intimidating industry. The course also furnished me with an invaluable list of potential clients to approach, as well as a comprehensive list of further reading materials and websites to continue learning with. The feedback I received for my final script report was detailed and very encouraging, giving me the confidence to go out and pursue it seriously. If you're looking for a course to get you from 0 - 60 in a day, this is the one.

There are many script consultants on the internet with what seem like very dubious credentials but I liked the look of Industrial Scripts because they seemed much more professional. I wasn't disappointed. The report I received on my script was thorough and well put-together by someone who clearly reviews many scripts. I was really impressed and will definitely be coming back to them with my next draft.

I don't know what I'd do without Industrial Scripts. I'm sure by now I'd be tearing my hair out, screaming with angst or would simply have given up. When I've needed help and a professional 'eye' on my work, they've delivered every time. They've been both encouraging, acknowledging positive aspects of my writing, while at the same time being completely honest about the areas that need attention in order to create a commercially viable and marketable screenplay. I've used four of their services: Development Notes on a short script, Development Notes on a feature script, the Project Screening Service (analysis of a 1 page synopsis for a feature film) and the Detailed Project Screening Service (analysis of a 2 page synopsis or treatment for a feature). I've also been having continuous one-to-one consultancy, which has proved absolutely invaluable. The reports have helped me to identify genre where genre was confused or unclear, choose the best point of view (who's eyes to tell the story through) recognize story problems, re-think relationships between characters, question character motivations and the credibility of their choices, analyze character goals, flaws and internal needs, be aware of each character's 'arc', as well as understand the screenplay's moral questions and themes. My consultant has even counseled me through periods when I've felt like giving up - way beyond the call of duty! All in all the services themselves have been far superior to other script consultancies I've used; professional and straight-talking, offering not only constructive criticism but insight and solutions. The consultant who reported on my treatment for the Detailed Project Screening Service went into far more detail than I expected, definitely going the 'extra mile' - so much so that when I showed a director the consultant's report he expressed how impressed he was with the amount of detail and the quality of the feedback, especially re. value-for-money. Industrial Scripts have become an integral part of my writing process at every step of the way and are now the only consultancy I envisage using, for both film and fiction. Whether you're a screenwriter or a novelist, at whatever stage of your project, I recommend them.

If you spot typos and grammatical mistakes in this review, it's because Industrial Scripts didn't proof read it for me ;) I've worked with Industrial Scripts on several of my projects, and have used a wide range of their services from proof reading to all out script doctoring - the latter giving me the opportunity to have Aaron Anderson (The King's Speech) work on my script! The appeal for me is their genuine industry connections, and vast knowledge of the rules, conventions, and politics of the industry we writers are trying to break into. Their diverse knowledge and experience directly translates into a plethora of highly professional writing services, of which there are simply too many to mention here. It's the peace of mind that knowing my OCD like script expectations will not simply be met, but exceeded, that ensures I will use Industrial Scripts again and again. Furthermore their Talent Connector project - which is entirely free if your work should qualify - is an inspired, fresh, and wholly generous initiative that offers the very real possibility of introducing unknown writers to paid work, agents, producers, and quite possibility that one lucky break that could change your life! Industrial Scripts champion new writers, and they really will help you to market your work if they think it is industry ready. And to get it ready, to get it up to that level, they offer services that can help at all stages of the game. No matter where you are in your grand plan for world domination, these guys can help you.

I received excellent feedback on my script, and in a quick turnaround too. Very impressed! Their credentials and services are top notch, and they're a real pleasure to deal with. Their Talent Connector service is a fantastic opp for new writers with no contacts, so I'll be coming back withmore of my scripts, that's for sure. Overall, a big thumbs up!

This was a great course, which was structured well in order to cover all aspects of script reading. I came away from the course feel very knowledgeable on the subject and much more confident in terms of approaching the industry for work. I recommend anyone who is interested in script to take this course, as it's highly informative and the notes they give you are invaluable. I actually cannot find any negatives with the course. Fran

The course was well structured and very informative and should hopefully be a massive boost with me trying to find work as a script reader. My issue is that the course is slightly geared towards almost anyone and spends a lot of time discussing about the rules of story telling, which becomes a refresher course for anyone who knows the craft of screenwriting. Overall it was worth attending.

The day long course with Industrial was a really fantastic help in terms of instructing me how to formally approach script reading as a profession. The balance between discussion of script reporting from the pov of a Production company and from the pov of a writer proved very useful in learning skills to analyse my own writing. A very thorough course with constructive and useful advice about getting work. Thanks to Jon for an enlightening day.

Industrial Scripts offers a wide range of options to help writers in the early stages of the process right through to have a completed script worthy of Hollywood. The scripting services allow me to have that all important outsiders opinion from someone, other than family and friends, who know what they're talking about on a professional level. The reviews of my work are honest, to the point and help give me suggestions on how to improve it. Industrial Scripts is what I need to progress my work to the next level.
