298Silva's review of Anglian Windows -

“Noise resonance”

Written on: 31/07/2019 by 298Silva (1 review written)

We were happy with the windows at first, until we noticed that the (light) traffic outside our house sounded noisy even though we were never aware of it with our old double glazing. The effect was strange - similar to sound coming down a tube. Then we noticed more noise distortion - e.g. motorway noise, previously reduced to a minimum with our old double glazing, was now a continuous resonant hum. Planes going over our house now drive me mad. Bonfire night was fun - fireworks going off sounded like tennis balls hitting the windows. I identified the problem via Money Saving where it is well-documented by another Anglian customer. Money Saving Expert's advice was don't waste your money on Anglian windows. Bit late for that now. A rep came out to look at the windows unfortunately on a very quiet still day with little or no traffic and little resonance and was very sceptical. The noisiest window was taken out and refitted but the problem remains.
