I saw this film a few years ago that the cinema. TBH as an avid F1 fan I was expecting allot and sadly this file did not deliver. Yes it told the story of one of the greatest F1 drivers who died tragically and before his time BUT I felt that it could have been more indepth and shed new light on the tragic events at Imola. Also I would have liked more incar footage, especially Senna in the wet at Monaco.

This is a doco about the career of F1 driver Ayrton Senna. It really is a great film. I don't feel that you really even need to be a F1 fan to enjoy it. It does into the politics surrounding the sport during the 80's, the relationships the different drivers have and there are lots of racing action and rarely seen footage. It does a great job at letting you get to know the man behind the racing driver and while you obviously know what is going to happen in the end, you are so caught up in his life by the end of it I genuinely felt sad! This definitely a great way to spend 90 minutes, especially if you have any interest whatsoever in motor sport.

Fab film and loved the idea of no commentary

Not sure if I would enjoy observing a wet Senna - albeit, each to their own.
