I have owned this Ibanez V300MH for about 40 years, it has stayed straight and is not affected by humidity. ie has not warped. The sound has only gotten better over the years. It has a mellow tone and very easy to play with a full bass sound. The neck is easy to hold and can play up the neck, 12th fret, without any distortion The light picking is not as resonate as my Taylor 110 but is nicer to strum. I'm now knocking on a bit and in years, and apart from a few years off, been playing for pleasure, at a decent standard, for circa 30 years. Started off with a student Corton, years later traded up to a Jupiter (JTS 789) and now owned a Yamaha YTS 62 for just over a year - I did want an 82, but I live in China and couldn't get one. Yes these reeds are expensive, but my Legere reed lasted over a year. It was so nice to not have to worry about a reed not working or squeaking. The tone doesn’t sound quite as nice as wood reads, but it is very, very close. And not having to buy reeds for over a year, not having to moisten the reed before playing, and having the confidence that it’s going to sound & perform consistently EVERY time I put it on my clarinet is just wonderful.
