I have been using this site on recommendation of a friend. Now let me tell you from the off, I am not fond of deals sites. Normally they are flooded with useless deals etc. I wont moan on and on but you get the idea. It is with some degree of joy then that I can say that onurbantribe delivers a slightly more refreshing platform. For starters it is not clutted with a million banner ads. Second of all even for a relative tech noob like me I can work it. Finally the deals are I'd say 90% useful far higher than other sites. I like it. So I review it. In the wise words of a meerkat 'Simples' but effective.

Well shall I start. I know the basics. The website is easy to use, easy on the eye and pretty clean. It could come across slightly simple but I think that makes it easy to use and more obvious to navigate. There is tabs and categories so you can find what you want and you can filter by city which is ideal if you want local offers.

Lets move onto the deals. It seems they have a mix of local and national venues covering bars, restaurants and clubs mainly. They do seem to have a lot of big names like pizza express, mcdonalds, burger king, pizza hut, nandos and so on so can see that being very popular.

Check and yes it is available on mobile so you can grab offers on the move which is good thing as that bugs me if not available on mobile.

Pretty good deals and pretty good site. Worth using for student discounts and general discount deals.

I will start with the good things because that is what made me write this review. Having been at uni for a year now I have seen lots of really average deals website trying to get my money but Urban Tribe is the first one I have been really impressed with. One, it is free. Two, the deals are actually awesome. Hurray! Finally a great deals website for students. They have deals at all our favorite hang outs, bars, restaurants and clubs. They also have an online section for lots of handy freebies :)Love that bit. The site is easy to use (thank god.. that is one thing I hate about other deals websites.. far to complicated and messy). There is also a mobile version which I have used out and about and had no problems with. Get the voucher on your screen and show it to the bar man or shop clerk etc. Simples. All in all very impressed with this site and so happy someone has finally made a student deals site that has decent deals. My only niggle is i wish there was an app version as well so i could put it on my iphone desktop but i am sure they have that in the pipeline (please.. :). 5/5
