Had this car from new. In fact we had to wait for it to come into the country 4 weeks late (from India!). OK to start with then things started to go wrong. Firstly the radiator failed on the motorway, had to get RAC out, it had been hit by something throw up from a vehicle in front and it had punctured. The metal of the matrix was so thin that even Radweld couldn't stop it from splitting again. New radiator had to be got from the factory, £370 down the drain. Next a tyre blew on the motorway, RAC out again, the sidewall of the tyre had split, this is the original from the factory. Had one of those thin 'space saver' spare wheels which you cant drive above 50mph so the trucks are bearing down on you in that small car, scary stuff. Now the clutch has gone. Done only 10,000 miles and its 15 months old. RAC out again, towed it to main dealer. They are blaming us for riding the clutch. We have had 3 other Micra's over the years most doing 60-70K miles and never had a clutch change so can't see its our driving at fault. Dealer is slow to check it out and Nissan customer services in Sunderland are no help either. On checking the net there are already other cars with failing clutches at 10K miles so the clutch simply isn't up to the job. The sales man may claim to be saving you money with low tax and free servicing for 3 years but this lemon is costing us a bomb. DO NOT BUY A NEW STYLE NISSAN MICRA if you value your money and sanity.
