We had a booking at 8:15pm on a Saturday night but had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We were left standing at the bar which, given the cramped restaurant interior, meant we were totally in the way and felt very uncomfortable. The staff seemed very disorganised and chaotic, giving an overwhelming 'Fawlty Towers' atmosphere. When we were eventually seated, our table had not been set properly and we had to ask for serviettes. My husband had garlic mushrooms to start (enough for two people) and I had the king prawns which were slightly over cooked. The plates had not been warmed which meant the starters didn't stay hot for long. The Calzone was good but my husband's Tagilata Bellini was disappointing. The flavour of the steak was completely overpowered by the pancetta, which was very salty and about the only thing the whole dish tasted of. We declined dessert (three times) and asked for the bill (three times). The staff were totally inattentive and at no point were we asked if our food was ok or if we needed anything. We didn't even get a 'thank you' or 'goodbye' on the way out! Glad we tried Bellini's but definitely will NOT be going back.
