Do not recommend using. If you do use please make sure you have clear documentation about what the process is if there are any problems with your carpet and what warranties there are. We bought carpet for the whole of the upstairs of the house and love the carpet, however due to how it was fitted there edges have started becoming frayed and unravelling. After raising this with him, he would not take any responsibility and tried to shift the blame saying it must have been our hoover that caused the problem or our doors being too low. I've since had advice from one carpet shop and a carpet fitter who have advised our door height is perfect and the issue is how it was fitted. He would not agree to get someone to even look at the issues never mind fix the issue. I'm currently raising a call with Citizens advice. So in summary whilst everyone at first floor did seem genuine and friendly when I was buying, if you have any issues after fitting you will find a completely different attitude.

Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Staff very knowledgable and helpful- brilliant value for money, very tidy and efficient. The showroom is the best there is being able to take the whole family in comfort and have a drink whilst looking at samples. Parking was easy and the showroom easy to find. If you're looking for quality, value for money and all the help needed look no further. A huge variety of flooring to choose from to suit every price range including the best quality.

Visited First Floors in December and had a carpet fitted throughout my hallway and stairs. From start to finish I found the staff helpful, friendly and informative - there was an issue with the manufacturer getting the product I wanted but they managed to solve the issue and my carpet was fitted in time for Christmas by the person I dealt withwho was very professional and tidy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and have now placed another order for my kitchen.

One thing I did think that they excelled at was the showroom - compared to the others I visited in Hillingdon and other local places, it was by far the best. They had a coffee bar, kid's play area and were there when I needed them but without being pushy.

Had £3400 worth of wooden flooring laid by First Floors of Giffnock, Glasgow in November 2016.

The fitters, McLeod Flooring, whilst cutting hardboard, managed to cut right through to the carpet beneath and left a 21" cut in a perfectly good carpet.

The fitters left without mentioning that they had damaged the carpet. The damage could not be missed and they must have seen it.

Further to the above, some joinery work was shoddy with loose fitting timber parts that could be pulled away from wall with one finger. They have made two attempts at rectifying this, however, one part that they have secured twice is still loose. Poor to say the least.

On top of the above a Director of First Floors of Giffnock, Glasgow and the fitter returned to inspect the faults and damage. They accepted no responsibility whatsoever.

The Director told my wife and myself, and I quote, "we regularly make mistakes". I wish he had told me that before.

First Floors of Giffnock, Glasgow responded to one of my negative reviews in late December stating that they had insurance to cover the damage they caused. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM SINCE.

CANNOT RECOMMEND EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES, QUITE THE OPPOSITE.
