“Prioritise your safety and buy elsewhere”

Bought a new Amunsen van. Waited over a year before it was delivered. When we took delivery we were concerned about how they had fitted the refillable Gaslow system that we had requested. Therefore, we asked the Gaslow HQ what they thought and also took the van to an independant fitter for their opinion. Both said the fitting did not meet safety standards and was potentially hazardous to us / van users. We had to have Gaslow system removed by Wandahome and replaced with a different system. I could write an essay about the terrible customer service from Wandahome South Cave- which is non-existent. I wish I had done due diligence on this company, hard to find reviews on them though, nothing on Trustpilot or Feefo, they don’t even have the option to leave reviews on their Facebook profile- ask yourselves why?? Did you not read your t&c’s when making your deposit? ALL dealerships are in the same situation whereas a pandemic and supply chain problems has caused a massive problem along with a huge demand for caravans due to staycations.
You would have not been the only person in this situation on delays but you chose to cancel.

Excuse me whilst I get out a small violin- these poor caravan dealerships are making an absolute fortune out of the pandemic but the customer has to just wait over 12 MONTHS! They should be being honest instead of pure greed taking deposits when they know there is not a hope of it being delivered in time

“A new Bailey Caravan”

I won't go on about my experience of Wandahome in South Cave but will be brief. Bought a brand new Bailey Phoenix last year and within 6 months parts of the floor had 80% damp apparently due to not being sealed properly at the factory. Unfortunately we were in lockdown when this discovered so it couldn't go back to Wandahome but I didn't find them very helpful. Bailey weren't much more supportive either. After the heater system failed on my new Sprite major I contacted the service department after an initial mix up with phone numbers I was contacted by a service technician who after discussing fault codes which were displayed he advised me to take my caravan in Wandahome. On my arrival i met the service technician who advised me that he would atempt to rectify the fault while I waited. Indeed the fault and another couple of faults was repaired while I waited. Wasted ages trying to contact them with issues with the van. They stuck a sticker on saying 2021 service had been done. But no paperwork with it or stamp in service book. Sent pdi check instead which was not correct as we did not have a solar panel on at all. Told us because they could not get a spare steady to replace damaged one until October it would be after our warranty had run out so would not be covered, which is wrong and illegal to suggest my local citizens advice and trading standards… Read Full Review

“They will mislead you”

I bought a 2nd hand motorhome from them. The salesman pointed out the refillable gas system. I paid 2k deposit. I then at a later date brought my pix in and paid the remainder of the balance. There was no mention of the gas system being removed. When I picked up the van, the refillable gas system had been removed. They wanted to charge me £600 for a new one fitting. “Terrible service from start to finish”

We wanted to purchase a used caravan from Wandahome as they are our local caravan dealer. We proceeded with a deal and took delivery, on our first trip away in the caravan we realised that there were several faults, mostly electrical including the fridge, toilet and cooker ignition. The locking barrels come away when the front garage storage is unlocked and the carpets were in a terrible state. Bought a Swift Ace Ambassador almost 5years. The van has been excellent. It has been used a lot! Minor cracks on rear panel highlighted to me during a service. Rear panel replaced under warranty. We travelled from Glasgow to wandacaravans in southcave hull to uplift our 2019 lunar caravan on 10/7/2019. Brand new caravan which we were delighted with . We had been away with it on 6 dates from uplift until 28/12/2019. Now the problems begin . 2 x burst taps , 1 in the main kitchen area the other in the bathroom. We panicked couldn't stop the water . DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY Hopeless customer relations department, it's sole purpose appears to be to tell customers no or "hell no". We had a dispute 're a deposit paid at the NEC. We bought a caravan back in 2017 when Ur there the sales team are on u as soon as u walk through the door. The bailey we found and liked had a motor mover on it the sales man who dealt with us told is that it was a old couple who had the caravan and the motor mover was staying on. When we picked the caravan the motor mover had been taken off we found the original receipt for the motor mover in the owners folder. Interesting to see your review was written on the day we bought our Rimor motorhome from them. You are correct, their PDI is non existent, our fridge didn't work on gas and there was no gas connector in the van on collection so they had obviously never checked it otherwise they would have found the fault. We had a major leak in the shower which they have just resealed but I suspect has underlying damp (if they had done a damp check as they claim to do surely they would have found this in the first place?) I have just rung this morning to question the whereabouts of the new fridge part they were ordering over a month ago and got "we'll get back to you" response which aroused my suspicions hence the visit to this forum to find out if they are in trouble.Finally tried to SORN the motorhome this morning only to find Wandahome have never sent the log book to DVLA!! DON'T TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE

If you are thinking of buying of these people I would seriously consider going to the bank drawing out 20,000 and throwing it in the sea.I bought a brand new caravan had over 14 faults plus it was not fit to call a caravan or be on the road let alone on a caravan park it was bought for retirement next year but after been fobbed off with stories a solicitor who had no backbone and of course no caravan body to protect caravaners I got rid making me ill and never again to caravan again and 12000… Read Full Review

Their aftercare team are appalling. Once they have your money they are just not interested in the slightest - sister in law and partner just bought a motorhome as well and wanderhome lost a sale due to our poor aftercare !!!

Stay well away from these people after care is appalling even when you speak to the sale man what sold you it
They are not at all helpful
Had to go direct to swift
First caravan I bought had it it 2 months and bed collapsed
Ring them told them after 6 months of arguing to fetch it back then told me it would take four months to repairs I asked for a new one cause I was not satisfied they said no in the end I just caught one as this was getting me and my family down cost me more money now back in same problem had to go to swift direct Wanda home still don’t want to no this swift caravan has come off the chassis and carnt be towed down the road and now I’ve got to buy another trading standards are deffo getting involved
