“Never buy a second hand caravan from wandahome”

We bought a caravan back in 2017 when Ur there the sales team are on u as soon as u walk through the door. The bailey we found and liked had a motor mover on it the sales man who dealt with us told is that it was a old couple who had the caravan and the motor mover was staying on. When we picked the caravan the motor mover had been taken off we found the original receipt for the motor mover in the owners folder. Interesting to see your review was written on the day we bought our Rimor motorhome from them. You are correct, their PDI is non existent, our fridge didn't work on gas and there was no gas connector in the van on collection so they had obviously never checked it otherwise they would have found the fault. We had a major leak in the shower which they have just resealed but I suspect has underlying damp (if they had done a damp check as they claim to do surely they would have found this in the first place?) I have just rung this morning to question the whereabouts of the new fridge part they were ordering over a month ago and got "we'll get back to you" response which aroused my suspicions hence the visit to this forum to find out if they are in trouble.Finally tried to SORN the motorhome this morning only to find Wandahome have never sent the log book to DVLA!! DON'T TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE

“Never Should Be Aloud To Call Themselves caravan Dealers”

If you are thinking of buying of these people I would seriously consider going to the bank drawing out 20,000 and throwing it in the sea.I bought a brand new caravan had over 14 faults plus it was not fit to call a caravan or be on the road let alone on a caravan park it was bought for retirement next year but after been fobbed off with stories a solicitor who had no backbone and of course no caravan body to protect caravaners I got rid making me ill and never again to caravan again and 12000… Read Full Review

Their aftercare team are appalling. Once they have your money they are just not interested in the slightest - sister in law and partner just bought a motorhome as well and wanderhome lost a sale due to our poor aftercare !!!

Stay well away from these people after care is appalling even when you speak to the sale man what sold you it
They are not at all helpful
Had to go direct to swift
First caravan I bought had it it 2 months and bed collapsed
Ring them told them after 6 months of arguing to fetch it back then told me it would take four months to repairs I asked for a new one cause I was not satisfied they said no in the end I just caught one as this was getting me and my family down cost me more money now back in same problem had to go to swift direct Wanda home still don’t want to no this swift caravan has come off the chassis and carnt be towed down the road and now I’ve got to buy another trading standards are deffo getting involved

Purchased Bailey brindisi new 2016 1st service all ok. 2nd service took 10 days??? went twice to pick it up as had holiday booked which they were aware of. they pulled it out of yard at the rear of the shop absolutely filthy, Three small warranty jobs needed doing 1/13amp socket burning smell not done? 2/outside awning light led only works if you give it bang ( they said it worked when we checked it) 3/famous roof strap leak completed i think?. We purchased a brand new bailey motorhome in march 2018. first trip out first night in france the 12 volt electrical system failed. Tried for several days to get help from both wandahome and bailey to no avail eventually had to cancel holiday and return home at great expense. Had to eventually organise the replacement electrical system with our nearest repair dealer some 65 miles away. No help was forth coming from wandahome. We purchased a new motorhome from Wandahome and collected it on Thursday 5th April. The staff at Wandahome couldn’t have been more helpful, excellent handover and good night spent on site. Many thanks especially for chasing the DVLA about unforeseen delays to the vehicle registration which was completed just in time for collection. You were lucky.. they took our money and RAN. lousy after sales. or rather none . numerous problems that we had to deal with our selves. they were just not interested in helping us sort out the problems that ranged from complete 12 volt failure thus we were unable to use anything in the motorhome to locker doors falling of the number plate fell off and was lost and then the gearbox needs to come out. and oh yes this was our first trip out in a new motorhome. Its still off the road awaiting repair because so far no garage can fit the wheel base on to their ramps.

I have pointed out to them that the form was signed but at no time did they advise that T and C were written on the back.
In fact at no time did they say that the refund was not returnsble.
The company had only just taken thei Motorhome in in part exchsnge it wasnt even on display but in the car park where it had been parked by the staff or previous owners.
I have carefully read the reverse of the form...but no mention of deposits exist.There is reference to.goods orders....but in my case this was not an order of goods got in for me....but a purchase from existing stock.....no work had neen done on the van...the companies only costs incurred were the salesmans time....appx an hour i guess. The Manager said she sympathised but some mothers are dead !!!!! Very nasty comment

Placed a deposit on a used Motorhome had to cancel after 4 days as my father of 87 became very ill requiring Hospital then respite care,As my Mother is also not in good health I decided it would be wise to cancel the order and devote all my time to the Family.
