“May damage your vehicle”

I decided to use National Windscreens for a windscreen replacement and now I wish I hadn't. I was told that the windscreens they use are the same quality as installed by the car maker. They are not, neither are they as they say ALL made by the same manufacturer. I have now learned to my cost that on some cars with ADAS systems it is essential to fit glass from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). 1 - I was told on booking that the repair could not be managed off site and I had to go to a depot 2 - I was also told on booking that the repair would take 30 minutes 3 - On arrival at the depot I was told it would be a 4 hour job 4 - After 3 hours of wandering around, I decided to go back to the fitting depot to see my car being driven away. windscreen replaced 2 weeks ago. within one week vertical crack appeared which I reported. I was told it sounded like a stress fracture and they agreed to replace. Within the next week, 2 huge horizontal fracture marks also appeared. The technicians have come out today and tried to apportion blame on me, saying the window has been chipped. I phoned on the Monday to request a replacement screen for the Thursday when the car would be available at my wife's school. On the Thursday morning I called first thing to pay the excess. An hour later I got a call to say the replacement was damaged and it was five days for another one. They have a 42,000sq ft warehouse FULL of windscreens less than an hour away! “Windscreen Replacement - Damaged Dashboard”

Waited 9 weeks to get the appointment sorted out, one was aborted after I took a day off work, when they finally completed the work, they have dropped the sealant all over the dashboard, then they have tried to remove it and damaged the dash board, have 2 big stains on the a 6 month old dashboard....why do insurance companies still use them? Waited 3 weeks for an appointment to replace a cracked windscreen. They didn't turn up or for the appointment. A courtesy call would have gone a long way.... I called them and they said it was cancelled, they said the fitter had gone home sick. Ok, it happens i guess. Booked in again the following week. No call again, so i called them. Had a cracked windscreen, tried to arrange a windscreen fitting through the car insurance, which unfortunately uses National Windscreens. I started trying to arrange this windscreen end of February. 6 weeks on and 4 appointments and still no windscreen fitted. My MOT ran out end of March and without a new windscreen cannot get the MOT passed so now without a car for nearly 2 weeks. Not happy with a flooded car which shorted out the electronics! When is was done on my van by Mobile/National Windscreens. On recommendation by my insurers National Windscreens visited my house to replace the cracked windscreen on my VW transit van. On completion I queried the cut out part of the side of the seal, apparently the windscreen didn't quite fit so the engineers had to cut away part of the seal trim leaving a gap of about half an inch from the side and also in depth.
