Ive used click mechanic on a few occasions,the third occasion, the mechanic couldnt fix the brake issue, so instead did some unecessary brake work & charged me for it, I wasnt happy , but paid & vowed Id just not use them again, that was 5 years ago or so, So I thought Id try them again , well this experience has been the worst ever, and ill never use them again.
The mechanic came to replace a part on my car diagnosed by different garage, but click mechanic price was more competitive. The gears were stiff but useable, the mechanic was unable to repair the problem & the replacement part was unusable, and the car was left with no gears being able to be used at all. We contacted Click mechanic who told the mechanic to come back to complete the job, but he was unable to, YouTube was used, we had to contact two other garages on the phone while he was still there for advice , he couldn't do the job, the car is not drivable, Click mechanic then said that theyd speak to a in house mechanic, and get another mechanic out that day, one week on nothing, that cost £286.30, we have now have no car at all now & a credit card bill that we will have to dispute.
The online resolution is just with the mechanic, I escalated the complaint to click & still nothing.
This is a update. CM came back to me on the 24th December, advising me to discuss the situation further with the incompetent mechanic, ironically that day I was finally booked in at a different garage that I found and they fixed the problem.
CM are a waste of time, its ok IF they fix the problem on your car, but IF it goes wrong your on your own, THEY WILL NOT HELP, they will not liaise with you & when they do its to advise you to continue on the resolution forum with the very same mechanic that youve hit a stalemate with. Please be warned, THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU, from the 11th December from the issue started, Ive had one message saying theyd call me back,but they didnt. Then the one on Christmas eve from the complaints department advising me to sort it out with the mechanic.
So please dont be fooled by the response from them.
*** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE 1000% CERTAIN, that what needs fixing on your make & model car the mechanic can do, if its its something complex, and its not fixed youll end up in the same position as me.
Ive now had to dispute this payment with my credit card company & Im still waiting for the process to be completed, the payment is due on my credit card and Ill just have to pay it until the process has been completed. Its now the 11 January, 4 weeks on & Im still dealing with this issue.
The mechanic was a bully & argumentive,very threatening, I had to message him again on the resolution page to let him know not to message me again or Id call the police if the agressive rude argumentative messages continued.
The mechanic was called PAWL from BAK VAG -TECH garage.
He had 5 star review.
