Had a chip repaired with Autoglass on my brand new BMW 7 series. Repair was not to satisfaction of technician so arranged replacement windscreen appointment.
Replacement went ahead on Friday 8 Oct but technician could not complete reassembly of the trim plastic around rearview mirror. Suggested I visited Autoglass team at local Kwikfit to complete the job. Very unhappy with this suggestion…..why do I have to ensure job is completed properly??! Isn’t that Autoglass’ responsibility??!
Called Autoglass and my insurer and waited over the weekend after numerous calls to both on Friday lead nowhere in terms of a plan and next steps. Long story short I am now tired of the number of times I have related my issue to Autoglass and then Admiral.
Autoglass seem to have no interest in providing a solution here. Rude people in complaints department and sandbagging on feedback from technical department, who are reviewing pictures about this job…apparently?!
Today I finally arrived at a solution with Admiral and my car will be going to the local BMW dealer for the work to be done properly. Thanks to Admiral for this…..Autoglass in my opinion, used to be a good company. Now they have the contracts with many of the insurers they have become arrogant, rude and greedy. The technicians are fine but the windscreens they are ordering from China are rubbish (Fuyao).
Avoid using Autoglass if you can….and god help you if you have a problem because they don’t care and have a captive market and a ready supply of customers via your insurance company.
