During the middle of last year I purchased a Citroen Picasso C4 Grande, having had a Citroen Picasso previously. The new car had only done 7,000 miles and was like a new car despite it being nearly 3 years old. After having driven this new car for only a few months the electrical system failed. I took the car in to the main dealer and they came back to me with £535 to fix the problem. I contacted Citroen’s customer services department to ask if they would stand the costs or at least make a contribution, given that the car had only done 15,000 miles and was barely three years old. They took my details and then contacted me two days later to refuse my request. I argued that any car that had a complete electrical failure after only 15,000 miles wasn’t a sellable product but they refused to listen to my points. They then had the audacity to contact me after the repair had been carried out at my own cost to say that thanks to them and their main dealer that I should now be on the road. Needless to say I shall never purchase a Citroen again and I would strongly urge anyone considering the purchase of a new vehicle not to purchase a Citroen because this is a company who doesn’t care less about customer satisfaction.
