“Shocking company ”

Terrible service , they are good at the first contact for your sales of your van policy, however they will let the policy run for a few months before asking to validate NBC , , also they are happy to mirror NCB from another vehicle that you own , until they want to validate, then will not accept your mirrored NCB , at this point they will charge you an additional £220.00 plus admission fee of £35.00 to amend the policy. Got a quote online via Compare the Market and paid for this quote, never received confirmation via email and then received a call from a very rude, irate and unprofessional lady at VanLine Direct who told me that the details I had input were incorrect (quite how I have no idea as they were correct when I input them on Compare the Market) - either an attempt on their part to swindle me or an error with how their system gets the information from Compare the Market... I even called them to make sure if there would be any problems with the quote and the feedback I got was, “of course not, why should there be”? Absolutely awful company. Took out a policy and accurately completed their online form and duly paid the required deposit. Customer Service called me the following day and ran through additional questions which were not part of their online form. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Took out a policy with them to have it cancelled after a week saying we didn't meet the criteria of the policy. As we insured with them the previous year so they had access to all details to see whether we met the criteria of the new policy. They are just pushing all calls to 3rd parties that don’t know your policy. Paid £2700 for van insurance and when I called to get the basic info connecting me to roadside assistance all I got as an answer was call in the morning. They don’t have access to your policy after office hours and don’t have any info on which numbers to connect you to. They won't explain why or what the problem is(or answer the phone or their own live chat) and they are going to charge for the privilege of them failing to sort anything for me. They make problems for you so you can ring up and say this is not correct, they then charge you £70 to change wording, which was their fault. This company has a simple philosophy, make sure we are the cheapest quote in searches win a lot of busines and then search for the smallest of problems and cancel the insurance with, large ancellation fees. This is clearly the way that this company operates. AVOID AT ALL COSTS They are arrogant, and beligerant in aftersales. I have gien a zero rating . Chose their insurance quote from a web site, paid had nothing but requests for proof of NCD, and SORN which I supplied but still not happy, they seem to look for everway to cancel the policy so they can get £90.00 cancellation fee. It is almost that they plan to cancel inches you have paid. No looking to take them to Watchdog after reading all the similar complaints and have already contacted the insurance Ombudsmen.
