Not satisfied with your subcontracted insurers. My vehicle was damaged when unattended. The third party details were passed to covea at Halifax who requested third party details sent by photocopy even though they had been verbally. They requested I send again because the copy was blurred. Second copy sent, heard nothing back so assumed all was good. However my premium from dial direct was due to find my premium was double the year previous amount. It transpires Covea had done nothing except record a my fault accident. I eventually sent hard copies to Covea who even then did not instigate an investigation until I rang them. This has led to me paying a premium which is excessive to what it should be, and still have not had my excess returned. The third party insurers admitted liability and said they would pay my excess.
I am not impressed that Dial Direct is associated with a company that i believe to be incompetent, uninformative, it just beggars belief. There simply is no excuse how Covea dealt with my claim in the first instance although I understand that they are now in contact with the third party insurers.
