Up To 100% More Light.
I have these fitted in a Mondeo TDCi Mk4. The light output is a considerable improvement on the OEM lamps.
It is important with all makes of uprated bulbs to remember they claim "up to 100%" more light. They will provide more of an improvment in some cars over others depending on the OEM lamps being replaced and shape/design of the headlight unit.
It is also worth remembering that due to the finer filament and different gasses in the lamp envelope they often don't last as long as basic halogen lamps.
Finally these can often be purchased online for the same price as basic halogen lamps in Halfords/etc. They can be found quite cheaply if you are prepared to look around.

Little Difference And Lasted Less Than 1 Year
Found little difference in performance and really upset when 1 bulb went after about 11 months and another after 12 months.......not getting another pair in a hurry !

Ring Xenonmax Rw1072 -12v 6-/55w H4
03/11/2011. Just fitted these to my new Mitsubishi Colt CZ2 AMT. Brighter, lighter and whiter no doubt about it. A great improvement on the OEM halogen headlamps make night driving just that bit easier and dirt cheap at under £15/pair. Highly Recommended.

Very Poor Light From These Bulbs Considering The C
Very poor light from these bulbs considering the claimed '100%' more light.
On high beam they light up the road in patches instead of a fluid wall of light, acting more like a fog light. I have had to check they hadn't blown when they were first fitted.
Main beam through a projector lens isn't brilliant, and the standard bulbs performed equally as well. I would not buy another ring bulb after these and will use Osram again in future.

Wish I Had Read These Reviews Before Buying My Set
Wish I had read these reviews before buying my set on Xenon Max H7 bulbs. Like the previous reviewer, I was looking for some more performance as I live in an area with some country roads and not much lighting....I orded awaited my bulbs, and fitted them as soon as they arrived in eager anticipation of that evening where I would be experienceing up to 100% brighter, whiter light and a greater projection into the distance, as per Ring's advertising pictures and literature..
When that evening came, I eagerly drove out, expecting to see the above results....like the other reviewer, I thought give them a chance and drove into ever darker less lit country roads. I was sorely disappointed by the performance, in factinstead of being brighter or whiter than my previously fitted (stock) H7's they were in fact LESS bright and projected the light differently resulting in a much shorter beam and LESS projection....I was very disappointed, and am removing them from my car tomorrow morning and putting them where they belong - in the bin!!
This may be different for others with different headlights etc etc - but to be honest, I was very unimpressed after all the hype that was made in Ring's own literature! :o(

I Have Tried Several Of These Upgrade Bulbs In My
I have tried several of these upgrade bulbs in my citroen C2 over the last couple of years with the latest ones being the H4 xenon max 100% bulbs. Having tried Osram Nightbreakers, Phillips x-treme and these i can say that in my vehicle the Osram Nightbreakers seemed to make very little improvement, the Phillips extreme gave a much longer beam into the distance on main with more light than the standard bulb close up and the Ring xenon max 100% seemed to give better visibility directly in front of the car on dipped beam but didnt quite stretch so far into the distance on main beam as the phillips. So for me the ring bulb is better as I seem to get more visibilty on dipped beam with the xenon max than with the others. All these things are subjective of course so what is better for me with my settings, eysight etc may not be the same for you. In fact my wifes volvo seems to give as good a result with its standard bulbs as mine with any of these, but then again its a different type of bulb.

For A While Now I Have Been Keen To Change The Hea
For a while now i have been keen to change the headlight bulbs in my car, since last winter to be precise but never got around to it.So this year as the dark nights are coming very fast i thought it was time to try new lights, the only thing stopping me was the fact i have a ford focus and read that you have to remove the whole headlamp to change bulb !! but what the heck. Any way reading many reviews on the net (as i always do lol) I read that the philips extreme power came out top in Auto express so decided to venture in to my local car shop. Just my luck they were out of stock ! and me being me patience got the better of me and i bought the last pair of ring xenon max h7's .
Ok got back home and tackled the removal of my headlights, which to be honest was not too difficult, fitted new bulbs in daylight and could not wait to see these claimed 90% brighter exenon babies !!. Finally it was time to take the car for a spin , and initially when i was in a built up area i thought ok give them a chance, and when i hit the totally dark b roads the exitement soon vanished !! I was actually gutted that i had spent £25 on new bulbs that to be honest where not a lot better than my standard bulbs. I had read all the reviews and saw images on forums of peoples bulbs and thought ? am i missing something.
I went back on web and read more reviews and re-read Auto express review and tey did not rate them either , but tbh i thought they were biased towards the philips bulbs as they were testing in a philips designed tunnel somewhere in Europe. To sum up I would not recommend these bulbs, yes they are slightly brighter and i mean slightly ie 20-30% visually but not on dark roads.I was going to buy the philips for my wifes car to see if they are really that much better, but i am worried i am going to plough more money down the pan.So if you have friends who have put the upgrade bulbs in ask them to take you a drive when its dark and see if you like them before parting with your hard earned. One last tip DO NOT BUY the blue tinted bulbs if you are looking for bright performance as they are actually worse than standard bulbs the way they project the blue light.
PS Not all car headlamps are the same so these bulbs maybe work better for you than mine did in your model of car !!
Thanks for reading,
Dougie.
