Moordown Trade Centre

I purchased an advertised Range Rover Vogue from a private motor trader (Moordown Trade Centre).  The vehicle was advertised as a very clean, start and go vehicle. One issue was reported that the vehicle overheats and the problem could be related to a water pump or radiator or head gasket. During a text message conversation with the owner I was informed that the vehicle has 3 previous owners and is hpi clear.

The vehicle on arrival however was very far from the advertisement and the descriptive communication with the owner.

1. The battery was not working therefore the car did not start.

2. The car has been previously re-sprayed with a very poor repair job. The filler is visible, the paint is flaking and can immediately be felt upon one touch both at front and rear. This led me to run a hpi check which returned that the vehicle is category D damaged.

3. There was also damage in the following areas: both side steps broken and cracked, the control of air suspension is broken, air suspension light is on on the dashboard, centre console is broken, electric windows do not work both driver side windows, side mirrors not working, engine oil is leaking, two illegal rear tyres, sunroof is not working properly, side light is broken, rear parcel shelf is missing, boot does not close properly, no spare tyre, on first glance the chassis requires welding. It is possible further issues may be found once a vehicle is placed on a ramp and inspected.

4. The advertised mileage was 89000 however after running a mileage check there was many discrepancies with the national mileage register. This yet another dishonest claim by the owner.

5. Three previous owners were reported in the communication with the owner however the hpi reported five previous owners.

It is very clear that this was a complete dishonest transaction, the vehicle description was completely fabrication.

Upon finding these issues I telephoned the owner about that above issue and the response was to start swearing and insulting me, followed by hanging the phone up. I tried to call back but he refused to take my calls.

Avoid at all costs they will go to all lengths to sell you garbage.

I have just purchased a great little runaround car from this garage. All I can say is what a great service I received from first browsing around to negotiating to them handing me the keys. I would highly recommend them to a friend as they were honest and a pleasure to deal with.....

I’d don’t usually do reviews but thought that these guys definitely deserved one! I’d been looking for a car for many months but could get the car I wanted for the money I had. The guys here not only enabled me to get the car I’ve always wanted, but made it an enjoyable experience at the same time.

My Audi TT was not only within my budget, it runs like a dream and is spotless inside and out!!

I couldn’t recommend these guys enough, infact my mother in law has just purchased a beautiful vehicle from them recently.

HONEST, GREAT SERVICE WILL DEFINITELY USE AGAIN!!

DO NOT BUY from this garage!

Purchased a Range Rover Sport for £16,000 from this garage with a "new mot" and "full service", only to drive 40 Minutes home and the engine to seize!

Car returned to garage and their choice of mechanic chosen to rectify the issue, 2 Months later... The car is still not working! 

I am now left with the issue of being owed £5500 for car hire, finance costs, insurance and tax.. A further quotation now received for another £8500 to now rectify the issues caused by the shoddy work from the mechanic.

I am now in the process of claiming the £14,000 owed to me from MTC! The company will now receive a winding up order due to no response from the owner Sam who has now taken to ignoring my phonically.

So Sam, where exactly is the money you owe me?

I therefore warn all potential customers of MTC to NOT purchase any vehicles through this company as they are crooks!

What can we say, the team were very very professional from start to Finnish,if your looking for a car see them first as they will give you 100% thank you very much

Nice people to deal with, opened up on a Sunday morning to show us the car, no pressure and agreed a deal with a new MOT, had a small issue with a suspension clonk but it was dealt with immediately, thanks.

Buyers beware !!!

I recently bought a vehicle from these " very pleasant and over friendly cannot do enough for you " company, initially impressed as my vehicle knowledge is not great and as everything seemed to be in order with the vehicle in question i decided to take the car on merit as i was also happy with the price.

However...............

Within a week / two weeks i had one mechanical fault and then within a month i had TWO mechanical faults which after great thought i had decided to get fixed myself because i wouldn't dare trust them as far as i could throw them with the attitude of " bring it in and we will get it sorted " The thing is that the mechanics they use are of sub-standard quality too. No value for money !!!

At least i know i will never be using this company again. Do not buy from MLC you have been warned !!!
