Timberwise staff were helpful and efficient. The customer service was prompt. The work was performed efficiently and neatly. I was very pleased with the workman who came to our property as well as the surveyor.

Timberwise were on time for their inspection of my property and subsequently quoted for the work to be carried out. On the due date and time specified two operatives came to carry out the above works. A skip was already in position. They duly ripped out all the old flooring in the living room and treated the sub floor. On completion of this work they replaced the floor with new timbers. The work was carried out over two days and they were very neat and tidy . They even left a trap door for my electrician to use. I would highly recommend this firm. The two operatives were very informative and very pleasant.

I have used Timberwise on three different occasions to treat areas of rising damp and have always found them reliable and efficient. The work was carried out on time and everyone involved, from the surveyor who came out initially to the office staff involved in arranging things, to the workmen who actually carried out the work were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to others as a firm you can trust. They are not cheap, but the price is fair for the level of service and the peace of mind that they offer.

Initial customer service good although we had to chase for an installation date. Positive pressure unit installed in our attic but engineers damaged our ceiling during installation. We've complained and was told that they would look into it but it would be better if we paid the final bill to avoid interest charges. Reluctantly, we paid the bill but ultimately my husband was more or less accused of damaging the ceiling himself. Very poor aftercare service. No receipt for payment, unit manual or guarantee received. Have written to company who phoned to say that they would arrange for a builder to call and estimate the cost of repairs. That was Nov 2014 and we've heard nothing since! Company very accommodating to start with but any issues and that don't want to know. My advice is to stay well clear.

My experience with Timberwise was excellent. Firstly the surveyor came at the time arranged and answered all my questions clearly. Then on the day arranged, my main concern was that I had to leave a friend to let the man in because I wasn't able to be present. I was a little nervous of having to leave the man unsupervised but I need not have worried Timberwise staff are very reliable and not only was the job very neatly done but he left no mess.

This company were both helpful (admin/contracts staff) and accommodating to my requirements in terms of timescales and the advice they provided from the initial survey (resulting from a Buildings Surveyors Report) to identifying a soultion that was practical and cost effective.

These guys haven’t got a clue, countless times they have not shown up. Insistent that I take time off work to meet their engineer who turns up late or doesn’t turn up with the right equipment. ripped the skit off with a crowbar and left the plaster in a right state! I have consulted with trading standards and I am now in the process of getting my own contractor to complete the work and sue them for the costs of the work and refund the guarantee that they have not honoured

Having had our basement flood due to a collapsed manhole, we had to have the basement completely gutted and re done in order to make it completely water proof. We were amazed at just how many companies are out there offering this basement conversion/water-proofing service. We got 3 quotes in and went for the mid price of the 3. All seemed well and we were about to place the order when we then discovered the company we were about to order with had had financial problems. When we checked this out further, we found they had an extremely worrying credit rating and we no longer felt comfortable placing our order with them. We wanted a financially stable company so we could maximise the chances of our warranty holding up. We decided to use this financial stability as a main part of the criteria for our choice. Wow, how difficult it was to find many that were financially stable! One company that stood head & shoulders above the rest was Timberwise Ltd. Once satisfied with their financial stability we then started checking out the products they used and the systems they employed when doing basement conversions. A surveyor came - what a nice guy. Spent all the time we needed during his visit and afterwards. After several more discussions and emails, (he must of thought us to be a pain but never gave us that impression), we placed our order with Timberwise. A project manager was assigned, a site visit made by him to go through our requirements and check things for himself, a date arranged (we were away for the last part (plastering and floor panelling). We returned from holiday to find everything done. What a transformation! They didnt hassle us for the cheque, infact gave us a few days to look over the basement. We reported the wall lights as faulty and the project manager attended within 24 hours. Turned out to be a faulty light switch that we had supplied (oops). Have to say that the first two guys that came to start the work and line out the walls with the water-proof linings and build the sump tank were exceptional in their workmanship, work ethics and professionalism. Their customer service skills being second to none (unlike the joiner) but I guess you can't have everything. The joiner was ok, just not brilliant like the 1st guys. When it came to the plastering, they were going to step it back to the old plastering and we said we didn't want that, so they went the extra mile and gradually feathered it into the old resulting in a seamless finish. So thanks to the plasterers for their efforts. So if you're looking to have your basement converted and want a first class job doing at a fair price. Done by a financially stable, expert company with good workmen. By a firm that don't pressurise initially or even once the job's done. We would recommend Timberwise Ltd. Thanks Timberwise

Timberwise recently performed a damp proof course installation for me on a new house purchase. More importantly when I rang them I had a maximum 10 day lead time to complete the works before I moved in. They moved heaven and earth to get the works done and all was satisfactorily completed on time the day before I moved in. Excellent work too, cleanly undertaken over a weekend ! Would highly recommend if you need the works doing, try Timberwise first.

Survey showed there was a problem with mild wood termite infestation in loft timbers on property I was purchasing. Contacted Timberwise and reception staff helpful and said surveyor would contact for an appointment. This was carried promptly by friendly and helpful surveyor. Work carried out with no inconvenience - problem solved and guaranteed for 20 years, with no stress or worry.

I have been very happy with Timberwise from start to finish, ie from the office staff, to the technician and various other workmen employed and the surveyor who visited the site. I was particularly pleased with the technician/joiner who spent a considerable time at my property. He was very hard working, efficient, trustworthy, a brilliant joiner and I had total faith in his workmanship.

The surveyor who visited was extremely helpful and explained how and why he was testing for damp. He explained the process with us and also took time to discuss a possible cellar conversion with us. He gave us some very useful advice. The admin staff were pleasant, the work was booked in to suit us and the workmen were friendly and efficient. Overall we were very happy with the job throughout.

From the survey to the setting up of the job, everything was straight forward. Even when late issues were found, contact with the company for guidance was so easy. Whilst job had to be put on hold pending that guidance, resetting a date was again straight forward and no hassle. Work (can't remember the workman's name but like the others, very knowledgeable, personable and helpful) was carried out with diligence and high standard. All good.

Very happy. The two man team were very efficient, they worked quickly but with all the work being carried out to a high standard. They were friendly and polite and cleaned up after they had finished. WORKMEN The two workmen who came and did the work were very helpful, explained what they were doing and why and made good suggestions. Anecdotally, the guy who did the dry rot in the cellar strongly advised us to get someone to look at the soil pipe and cellar wall (which turned out to be ESSENTIAL). The local plasterer also did a good job on the walls and skirting board. It's hard to comment on the dry rot treatment and damp proofing, as we really wouldn't know what a good job would look like. REPORT We initially asked Timberwise for a survey of a house we were purchasing. The report was very detailed and gave a very clear estimate of the works, including what the additional cost would be if the plaster was thicker than expected. The drawings also meant we knew exactly what had to be moved before the work could be done (e.g. the radiators, but not the kitchen units under the sink). PAYMENT Payment for the survey was taken immediately over the phone by card, which was very convenient. I paid the deposit online when we booked the work and paid the balance on completion online as well with no pressure. There seems to have been a lot of follow-up from the customer service team, so it seems they are interested in happy customers. We've had no problems with the works, but it would be very easy to speak to them about any problems you might have. SPEED Given that the work really had to be done before any decorating etc. because of the plastering, we would have liked the work done sooner - but just a minor point really. It's usually a good sign if tradespeople are busy! So a really good experience overall with goods tradespeople.

Would definitely recommend this company. Good value, great work and trustworthy. Basement needed tanking. Site manager explained everything fully. Was always available on the telephone if needed. Builders were efficient and completed the job to a high degree.

Called Timberwise at lunchtime Friday, by good fortune they had a consultant in the area on Monday, agree that he would pick up the keys to my purchase address and would meet him at the property. To my great delight the telephony agent spoke directly with the selling agent, she emailed me the consultants timescales and contact details and by Friday close of business everything was paid for and organised. The consultant called me on Monday once he had the keys and was on route to the property. I meet him there and had an excellent 40 minutes or so going over the issues flagged on the mortgage valuation, the various options and initial thoughts on works involved and an estimate on cost (subject to final report). What a great relief to understand the issue, have a feel for the works to be carried out and the confidence that it could be sorted. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff involved, thank you very much.

I contacted Timberwise after I identified a problem with woodworm in my property. From the moment I made contact I was very impressed by the service offered. Someone came out to inspect the problem and after a thorough examination explained the treatment that would be needed. The guy was very professional and despite my own obvious lack of expertise re woodworm, was not "pushy" and at no point did I feel that he was trying to up-sell on the job. I was subsequently told what the price would be and was then sent a detailed report with a written quote for the job. When I was in a position to go ahead I contacted Timerwise once again and they promptly sent someone out to carry out the work. Once again this guy was very professional, turned up when expected and spent a considerable amount of time making sure the problem was thoroughly treated throughout. I had heard some horror stories of certain companies within this sector and after making sure I avoided those companies I was pleasantly surprised with my experience with Timerbise throughout the process. I would definitely use again for any other issues that arise at my property and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
