I have nothing but praise for this company. I found them from a random search on Google but it's the best choice I made. Have dealt with them for more than a year now and have had very pleasant dealings with this company. They were so flexible and accommodating, not once did the surveyor grumble or moan at the amount of times he had to come out to our property. They got the work done quickly and efficiently. They have highly skilled technicians who understand and know what they are doing. The best thing about them was that they worked weekends too....not many companies would do that. I was quoted clearly for each job that was undertaken and I was informed every step of the way.

From the very beginning Timberwise were a pleasure to deal with and a real source of comfort to us - especially during what was an unnerving time following a flood. I met a few water proofing companies as part of the remedial process and the Timberwise surveyor was easily the most helpful, friendly and professional surveyor I dealt with. We were also impressed by the engineers who performed the works - they couldn't have been more diligent and considerate. We also appreciated how informative the engineers on site were and we were grateful for the time taken to explain the work. The work looks very well executed and the site was kept clean and tidy at all times. All in all - a quality operation and I will be sure to recommend Timberwise to others in the future.

We were required to carry out dry rot treatment to one room of our house by our purchaser's mortgage company. After speaking to another dry rot treatment company who would not listen to our specific requirements and demanded to cover the whole house, we were recommended Timberwise. Throughout the entire process all our requests were dealt with and the Timberwise surveyor did whatever he could to make the whole process as painless as possible. As we needed the work done quickly, Timberwise were happy to liaise with our builders to carry out the necessary work over a weekend. Dry rot is horrible but if we ever have any problems again we would definitely go to Timberwise first of all.

Timberwise was instructed to survey a Grade 2 Listed barn for potential Woodworm, as noted by our Building Surveyor. A comprehensive survey was undertaken and full report provided, which was easy to read and understand. The type of infestation was identified, deemed to be 'live,' and remedial measures suggested alongside a quote. The quote was competitive. I instructed Timberwise to undertake the works; these were undertaken promptly and professionally with a 20 year guarantee provided as standard and the offer of an insurance backed guarantee if required. I am hoping that the end result is that these works will help secure the longevity of the Grade 2 Listed Barn. Overall, great job and I was very pleased with the service.

Spoke to a friendly and helpful lady over the phone, she booked me an appointment for the following day at a certain time. Unfortunately no one turned up, I had to call back and ask where the surveyor was. Turned out he was never available to come in the first place, he even said he has no idea why the lady would book him in when he was not in the area. He did manage to come out and see our base bet but it was a couple of hours later. I was told the whole basement would need tanking and other building work to sort out a so called damp issue, was quoted £12000. Waste of time and the truth of the matter is I had three other surveyors come out the same day and all said the same... Just new drains and a bit of pointing to the walls will stop the problem. Been quoted £2000 for the work. Timberwise total joke!!

Survey was booked in quickly after the request, surveyor was great and did a thorough check of everything and gave us good explanations. The work was booked in after we received the quote, as the price was reasonable. All work carried out by Timberwise has been done to spec they gave us and to a high standard. We would definitely go back to them for any future surveys/work if needed and we will definitely be recommending them to others.

I have recently purchased a property and as part of the mortgage agreement I had to have timbers inspected and treated for woodworm. The office staff were fantastic to speak with, very attentive and efficient. Our surveyor kept us up to date with proceeding and informed us immediately by telephone of the results of the survey, written report followed shortly after. The man who came to treat the woodworm was very polite and helpful. Due to arrive at 8:00am and was spot on. Excellent company, made the whole process stress free and easy.

Timberwise were a recommendation, and they lived up to the high expectation I had of them, they completed an onsite survey and there were differences from another survey that I had . I had a number of questions and they were willing to send a site engineer a second time to answer them for me and show me damp reading in person. They understood my needs, and were willing to be flexible with the work that needed to be carried out and arranged the works to be conducted at short notice, they carried out more than what I expected without charging me extra for the service. Workmen were polite, very professional, very happy with the quality of work. Would recommend this firm without hesitation.

Brilliant ! The only company to give a detailed honest survey. They identified the source of damp as from leaky guttering and boiler outlet. Unlike others they did not quote me thousands of pounds for a damp proof course I don't need. Their survey was free. If I ever had a damp problem in the future I'd call these guys as I know I can trust them. Don't bother with anyone else. Great to find a company with honesty and integrity .

From our initial call to the Timberwise office, we knew we had a damp issue, but not knowing how to deal with it, the service we received was second to none. Their surveyor was very knowledgeable and professional and explained what was wrong and what would happen every step of the way. Following the survey, their workforce and damp proofing technicians came on-site, and, again, were very professional and gave us so much information about what they were doing as they continued with their work. We would have no hesitation in recommending Timberwise.

I approached Timberwise for a survey of my listed building restoration project as I knew they were long-standing operators with a good reputation from work they did many years ago at a fascinating farmhouse near Harlech for my sister and brother-in-law. The surveyor was prompt and took care to examine all of the requirements of the property and identified worm, and areas of fungal infection. He also identified a suitable non-invasive damp treatment that would not compromise the external appearance of the building. His reports came through swiftly. I did not mind paying for the survey and was impressed with its professional scope which was of immediate use in dialogue with the conservation officer of the planning authority. Timberwise administration were helpful about my programme requirements for the execution of the work and offered a range of dates. The technician who came on the arranged date for the timber treatment arrived on site precisely when agreed by the prior phone call and could not have been more accommodating with the practical arrangements for treating the stacked floorboards. The treatment was very comprehensive and he phoned to tell me when it was complete. He had clearly been very careful with taking access to the upstairs joists and had anticipated my request for some free- standing stud timber to be treated aswell.

I am a 25 year old woman with no damp proofing knowledge and Timberwise saw me coming a mile off. They initially quoted us around 3k to do the 'necessary works from doing their survey ( charged £300 for this too!) Luckily my Dad knows a few things about building and had his own damp meter and measured the areas which were alleged to be damp. They had also added on some replastering just for the sake of it. Damp proofing is recommended for rising damp, not localised problems which is what we had. Fixing guttering and defective pointing would have fixed the root problem but they did not advise this. My Dad called them out and it turns out that NONE of the work that they quoted 'needed' doing and our technician quickly backtracked and happily went off and requoted for the actual work that needed doing which he failed to spot the first time he came round which was, alas, a lot cheaper to fix. On the plus side Timberwise were very easy to deal with on the phone and very accommodating with booking in surveys and works to be carried out. They follow up on reports issued and even agreed to revisit for free to reassess certain areas detailed in our report. My advice would be to hire your own damp meter and do some research before agreeing to fork over your hard earned cash. These days you just can't trust the 'experts'

We had to use Timberwise to get a damp proof course installed on our house before we could complete on the sale . Timberwise knew how urgent this was and even though they were extremely busy they managed to fit us in urgently ! The kept the house as clean as possible and the service we got was second to none ! They made a hard job a lot easier and I cannot recommend the hard working friendly professional staff enough !!!! THANKYOU

After seeking the advice of several builder, I asked a local plasterer to give me an assessment of some damp patches in my hallway. The plasterer recommended I should telephone a company which, subsequently led to Timberwise. An appointment was arranged for a surveyor to visit. He arrived, took time and care in his assessment and advised what should be done to alleviate the damp problem. A written assessment arrived and I contacted Timberwise to arrange the work. A date was set some weeks ahead, however I did receive an offer to bring the work forward as a slot had become available, but I stuck to the original date. On the first day of work, a very affable man arrived, bang on time and worked diligently throughout the day, with minimal disruption. He returned the second day, finished the work to an exceptionally high standard, cleaned the area he'd been working in (leaving the wooden floor cleaner than when he'd arrived!). The personnel I encountered, either in person or on the phone, were all friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I'm in the midst of having some other building work done at present and my experience with those builders is the complete antithesis. I'd recommend Timberwise to anyone.
