I purchased a super king mattress from John Lewis it is okay for less than one hour but after time part of the body sinks in and become extremely uncomfortable. After l made a complaint to John Lewis. They sent a person to inspect. After a few minuets inspection he informed me that there was not a manufacturer fault. When i asked him what he meant by no fault he explain a fault consist a loose spring or material fault. I am very disappointed as John Lewis told me they cannot take any action and i have to discuss with the manufacturer.

“Good for 10 years not 30!!”

I bought a Vi-spring 5ft bed in 2011 from a local retailer who sells this make along with others. It is a superb herald. It was great at the beginning. I paid just over £1000 for the Herald Superb Divan/medium mattress. But now it slopes down to the centre from each end. This year seems to be the crunch year as I ache all over after sleeping on it. I've had to say goodbye to a good make but it is not good if we're not comfortable is it? I wish I had known it would change shape before I bought it. The retailer is very reputable but he was singing the praise of Vi-Spring as they are costly and to be shifted. Everyone should read reviews and shop around before buying one. They're probably good for younger people as the mattress is very heavy to shift round. I was in my fifties when I bought mine. I wish the retailer would be more caring of the buyer and honest to her/him.

“Once you've entered the mousetrap you will regret...”

Once you've entered the mousetrap you will regret it. This mattress has caused us pain and stiffness but lately it is sagging and warped. We are not large people so I am very disappointed considering the cost more than $3000 and now it is too heavy to move out to the trash. Their guarantee is just a trick they won’t honor once your mattress has the signs of being wear. 30 years back pain guarantee !

“Bad Product And Service”

Do not listen to the rubbish that this Bed manufacturer are the best and are of great quality. This is complete rubbish as is the product I purchased from John Lewis. A so called top end mattress and sprung divan both Vi spring and in the thousands of pounds. Unit has failed three times and the bed is beyond uncomfortable and it should come with the warranty slogan (guaranteed to make you back bad). They have attended three times and agreed the product is poor made of rubbish materials which is why its failed. Vi Spring have had every opportunity to sort and have chosen to ignore last opportunity recently from head of customer service was also a waste of energy. Buying a Vi Spring bed you should all avoid. Big Bucks Bad product. I am going to throw my 5K product in the bin and get what I should have done Harrison Spinks which I had before or Hypnos both value for money and far better products and service I am sure.

The last person spoken with at Vi Spring was head of customer services Miss or Mrs Chrimes. The only thing I can state is totally not interested and did not give any effort or consideration into the poor quality product. This is the real CRIME of Vi - Spring who apparently used to be good but now couldn't give a damn. I can confirm the now is true.

“Beware!”

We had a VISPRING Herald Supreme for 20 years which was wonderful. When we needed to get a new bed we bought a VISPRING from a well known retailer. Don't make the same mistake. It was the most uncomfortable bed we had ever slept on. The VISPING customer services assistant told me that our bed was made to the retailer's specifications and we couldn't compare it with one of their own models. So if you're going to buy a VISPRING buy one that is named on their own website and not from a high street store.

“Vispring herald superb mattress”

If you have any back problems DO NOT buy a Vispring Herald Superb mattress. We spent thousands of pounds investing in what we thought was a quality bed only to find it gives no proper support. We complained to Vispring and they passed us on to the retailer. A technician called to inspect the mattress and reported it was ‘within the tolerance limits’. After a year of being in terrible pain when I get up - and throughout the day - we went to John Lewis and bought a Natural Collection Leckford 5000 Firm Support, medium tension mattress for a fraction of the price of the Vispring mattress and it is WONDERFUL. I get out of bed on the morning without pain - the Vispring mattress was really bad for my back. The company didn’t listen to me - when you lie on the Vispring mattress you sink into it too much (I’m 62 kg do not particularly heavy) and this makes my spine bend when lying on my side. We had a medium tension mattress as recommended for our weight (my husband is 78 kg) but I will never buy from Vispring again.

“Mouldy split matress after 3 months”

Purchased elite mattress from Plymouth factory, turned mattress as stated and to my horror the mattress was mouldy spilt and a vile smell, this was after 3 months. I informed vi Spring who after a couple of weeks sent out a Fira inspector, he was shocked at what he saw and took a few pictures. After receiving the report back he states a large section of mattress product label side there is mould marks and disintegration of ticking with holes and tea ring occurring with staining on filling and brown dust coming from disintegration.he also states it could have been bed base , the bed base was brought from furniture village and the bed was on display with vi Spring mattress, . His conclusion No Fault Found , what a complete and utter waste of time as they seemed to side with vi Spring as I have read in other reviews. We contacted vi Spring after reading report and the customer service was a disgrace , the lady on the the phone was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. We will be taking this matter further.

“Waste of money company don’t care”

We brought this mattress after saving up for so long, only to find its complete rubbish it dips after six months. Visprung won’t talk to its customers or pass to a manager it’s all email. They just send out a third party company who look at all furniture it’s a total waste of time them looking at the bed. Be warned once you purchase no one gives A. Care. Very disappointed on what was once an excellent company, but now couldn’t care less. A very expensive hard lesson learnt please think hard before you purchase there are much better products at half the price I have since found out.

“Bad quality mattresses”

My mattress is bent down the middle where our hips lie providing no support. Furthermore, the edges are also sagging. It has given me a horrible back pain and problem. What is worse, is that when you complain about the mattress Vi Spring will send a consultant that flips your mattress before inspecting it and will say it has no problem. I feel totally disappointed by Vi Spring.

“Disappointed ”

Very disappointed with our entry level Elite mattress happy enough with the divan bed but in only 4 months the mattress has become saggy and ithe edges are tapered away to the point where you feel like you are going to roll out the bed. Which means I find myself sleeping about 10 inches from the edge of the bed so end up feeling squashed sadly it's been a huge disappointment and I would not recommend it .

Vi- Spring beds It usually takes two weeks not two years for the body to adjust to a new vi spring mattress / bed. There can be discomfort in the first two weeks as the muscles and joints adapt to the support mechanisms of the new vi spring mattress. After my first two weeks my muscled accommodated the new support system and sleep was perfect. Feather pillows ate generally not washable. Sponge the outer covering and air to freshen

“Duck down pillows”

Having purchased 2 duck down pillows a while ago I decided to follow instructions on the Vi-Spring label and wash them. Did exactly what it said on the label but they came out dreadful. The casing came out darker than it was and the filling was lumpy. Having dried them in the drier for over 2 hours. I rang customer service to see why this happened and I was told " Oh you should never have washed them, nobody here ( in Vi-Spring ) would ever put feathers in the washing machine" I explained it said so on the label and the answer was " Yeah but we don't make them" But it has your label with instructions on it. Yeah but we don't make them. If you can find your proof of purchase send it in and we'll have a look." I bought them over a year ago and the shop is now gone and I paid almost £200 for the pillows. Sorry can't do anything" So very disappointed with the response, they were totally not interested and couldn't give a monkey. If they are not supposed to be washed then why put it on the label, no response and no help from them.

“Absolutely rotten experience”

We have had an awful experience with our Vi Spring mattresses.We ordered a Zip and Link Elite soft sprung back in November having tested the display model in Julian Foye St Austell,we both felt that we had reached the heaven of all beds and could not wait for delivery.It arrived on the 21st December just one day before we were expecting a houseful of guests but my dear soul it felt as though we were sleeping on the floor it was that hard(no joke). We perched on top for a couple of nights before ringing Julian Foye and emailing Vi Spring by which time we were sore and tired having had very little sleep.Vi Spring did not respond but Julian Foye felt the we should allow a couple of weeks as the company would be closed until the new year. Moving on,last week the manger of Julian Foye came out to test the bed and agreed that it was nothing like the show mattress however an independent 'bed tester' sent from Vi Spring came a couple of days later and assured us after lying on th bed (no further tests)that it was soft but we should give it up to two years before the full effect would be felt!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness we bought from Julian Foye as they have allowed us to have the show mattress and although this is obviously not the new model we paid for at least we are able to enjoy the same standard that Vi Spring send out to companies to tempt customers to buy. Shame on you Vi Spring

“Rusting staples on headboard”

Staples rusted on the back of the headboard leading to orange brown staining almost all around the edge. Only a few years old. Inferior materials are being used, which is surprising given the (very) high prices charged. On the positive side the divan base drawer are easy to remove.

“Don't buy vi-sprung”

We purchased a Shetland bed at vast expense from Vi-Sprung and within a year had started to see a dipping. We tried turning more regularly but found this was less and less successful and complained to Furniture Village where we bought it - who sent someone out but we have been told that the massive sagging in the middle of both sides is "normal" ! I have two other mattresses purchased about the same time at a fraction of the price and they are far better and show no sagging. Because my husband and I are different sizes we bought a dual tension. Mine is soft and his medium. However this results in a massive hard channel in the middle of the bed and is now several centimetres lhigher than each side. Vi-Sprungs lifetime guarantee is a complete load of rubbish. I wouldn't ever recommend them or their beds. Furniture Village also disappointing and I will not be buying anything from them again.

Had exactly the sane experience with both Furniture Village and Vi- Spring. We were told that sagging is not a result of faulty workmanship or design. The mattress was hardly used and both of us are average weight but within a few months the mattress started sagging. The technician who came to review made us sign a waiver form. Subsequently, Furniture Village provided no assistance apart from a terse letter. A very expensive mattress, a useless "lifetime" guarantee and awful customer service.

“Not worth price”

We bought a Vispring Herald Superb from Furniture Village. It was dual tension soft/medium but the soft side was ridiculously firm and caused severe back pain or collar bone pain for my wife depending on whether she slept on her front or back. Be warned Vispring offer a 90 day free exchange for the same mattress in another tension BUT if you are already on a soft tension there is nothing softer and therefore no where for you to go. It turns out we shouldn't have been sold the herald mattress for a wooden slatted bedstead frame so we managed (after several battles with FV) to change to a Vispring Bedstead Elegance mattress but this mattress is equally disappointing. Feels nothing like the one in store. No luxury feel at all (not cushioning or supportive) despite regular turning. £2.5k wasted. Should have gone with Hypnos, Warren Evans or John Lewis Naturals range. Better products and better customer service.

“Lifetime Guarantee”

Vispring Lifetime Guarantee is not a lifetime guarantee!!. I have 3 Vispring mattresses two singles and one double, out of those 2 of them have just gained dips in one side! I am aware through employees that they have had a lot of complaints due to the materials being used at those times and springs rotting causing the dips. As one of my mattresses is 10 years old and the other 6 years old, they obviously have some stainage (even though mattress protectors have been used). We have tired to remove these but then it gains water marks! Vispring have now said they will not help due to this, even though the problem is with faulty manufacturing!!! I will never ever recommend anyone to buy a Vispring Bed, Customer Services are shocking and the attitude on the telephone was appaling.

“Vi Spring Tiara ”

We purchased a Magnificence, a top of the range ViSpring bed in January 2012 in soft tension. We have had ViSpring beds for the last 25 years and decided to stick with this manufacturer to upgrade our current bed. What a mistake! We complained from the start that it was too firm. We advised their customer relations department that the bed was causing pain as I was a side sleeper and resulted in me getting bursitus. They were not interested and it took them 3 years to send Castalan down to check the bed who agreed that the bed was the wrong tension. ViSpring refused a refund but they agreed to change the bed to another model. I reluctantly agreed as I was in so much pain. After discussion with the retailer we tried the Tiara. We started with a soft tension which sagged after a few weeks. We then tried a zip and link which was even more uncomfortable. We now have a medium tension after payment of a small fee. The bed has again sagged, is very uncomfortable and appears to be poorly sprung and/or lacks filling. Their customer relations department will not refund our money or change the bed. Castelan have inspected the bed again and agreed that it has sagged but ViSpring has said that it is within normal tolerance We will NEVER purchase another Vi Spring bed. It is clear that the quality is not what it was and their customer relations department are not interested. We also purchased their luxury topper. This is far from luxury. It is flat, lacks sufficient filling and is nothing like the sample in the showroom. It is clear that their quality control is very poor and they are just not interested once they have sold the bed. They are selling beds on their historic reputation. We now have to dispose of the bed and purchase another at great expense.

“Dreadful product”

We paid many thousands of pounds for this divan and we've had a replacement mattress within 18 months and now it needs another. VI Spring however are not willing to provide this, they will dodge down every possible avenue to avoid providing us with any sort of customer service. They refer us to the furniture ombudsman every time, they will not speak to us. A dreadful product and a dreadful Customer Service Manager - Martine is an embarrassment to not only VI Spring but to Customer Service everywhere.

Just purchased a V- spring Signatory mattress and victory divan with Atlas headboard. Has anyone come across a bad chemical smell coming from the headboard? It pervades the house. It's now been 2 weeks, the smell is exceptionally strong at various times of the day. Sometimes we think the smell is going then comes back with a vengeance. It's definitely the headboard and not the matress and definitely chemical type smell!!! Thanks
