Love The Band, Hate The Site
I don't have much to say, they need to change their site ASAP. It looks like an amateur did the job for them. Site looks like a blog and information boxes are too big.
I Was Really Nervous And Not Sure About Making Suc
I was really nervous and not sure about making such a big purchase online but I couldn't resist the savings. I almost ordered from Other Merchant until I heard about ultimate appliance. I then decided to take a chance on them and I have no regrets. The appliances were delivered on time and the local deliverer called me and set up a time for delivery.I saved about £ 100 overall. I bought a Refrigerator, Gas Stove, Dishwasher and Overhead Microwave. Great deal and great merchant. Thank you Ultimate Appliance for the service !
I Used To Adore U2 Back In The 1980s So I Decided
I used to adore U2 back in the 1980s so I decided to have a browse around their homepage. For starters, being on a network connection I tried the flash version of the site. It was so slow I backpaged and decided to use the HTML version instead.
Then I clicked round the various icons and half the pages contained no information, which was unfortunate. There seem to be a lot of flashy ideas and icons and javascripts, but not much content. When I finally got into the flash version I realised that it's because whoever designed the site decided that anyone using the site in HTML doesn't actually need to see the content, which is clearly ridiculous as many people HATE flash pages (myself included), and would rather have a site that loads quickly and doesn't have all the unnecessary, jumpy graphics. Why bother offering an HTML version if you're not going to put anything on it? It's probably there solely for the search engines and if this is the case, is likely to be penalised by Google in the future for offering NO CONTENT.
The finished parts of the site are ace. There's some very active message boards, a timeline at the bottom which lists all the important news stories from days of yore, tour dates, etc. and there are loads of pictures.
Still, it's a bit disappointing when you hoped to see all the lyrics and info about the videos and all you can get are empty pages. Not even an "under construction" message or anything! If it's a choice between slow-loading flash content that takes a good 2 minutes a page to appear and non-existent HTML content, then I'll just go find another site entirely!
