I've Had A Mini Cooper For Three Years Since New,
I've had a mini cooper for three years since new, and I know that when I start seeing any number of modified ones such as 'Mini Cooper Zeemax' (see below) that it is time to buy a new car, a new model beyond the financial reach of anybody who would do this. It is beyond me how guys can take a classic design, which took qualified designers years to put together, then stick wings, fins, lowered suspension, stickers, new engines, etc, etc, and then think that they have somehow improved the car. Laughable.

This Is A Very Nice Car To Drive And Look At. It C
This is a very nice car to drive and look at. It can be tuned and tuned and it will always be made togo quicker and quicker. Parts are very easy to pick up and at a reasonable price.
This is the spec of my car.
Fully renovated body , new panels, re-sprayed inside and out in night fire red pearl paint. Full zeemax body zit fitted. 13x7 minilight alloys with A539 175.50 yokohama tyres.
A series engine, block rebored, plus 20 new bottom end bearing, piston rings. Ported unleaded head 45 weber fitted. Fully reconditioned gear box. Full stainless steel play mini DTM stage one exhaust kit fitted providing 110 BHP plus. Upgraded breaks, metro turbo front and mini finns rear. Upgraded suspension - Hi-Low and koni shockers fitted all round.
As you can see this is quite a lot but i have bearly done anything to it. This is why i have rated it 10/10 for everything apart from practicality. The only reason for this is that there isn't a lot of space.
Ok, Does anyone know how hard it is to Stop a 17/18 inch wheel. Thats just the beginning of all the problems.
If you truly want to mess up a Car
DO Not Do It TO ANY Mini.
I and a few friends would put you upside down If we saw you an the street.
Minis are to be Treated as GODS, remember without the Mini the JAPS would have had Nothing to Copy!!!!!!!

`60 Austin Mini w/ 1071 Turboed 125 HP at the wheels[between 8000& 10,000RPM] 8.5 inch Mini Metro Turbo Brakes 12" Mini Lites, Wet weight 1026 lbs
DO YOU WANT TO RACE????????
just like to say that the review is on the old style mini's not the new ones. the guy hwo posted put 18" wheels is thinking about mini bmw which could easily be deduced that its not the new mini.
franco and danger man r talkin rubbish, 17" on a mini is just stupid but it aint the weight of the alloy u dummy its the gear ratio to the size of the wheels, 13" can work though it depends how u look at it, wit 13" u can get the power down 2 the road better, and if the vehicles geomety is setup spot on i.e. negative camber, lowered, stiffened they dont affect the mini`s handin anything major
the smaller the wheel the less weight of the alloy the faster your wheels will turn. 17 and 18 inch wheels on a small car is pointless it would be just be for looks. just like big spoilers most are designed to keep the rear wheels on the ground at speeds of around 150mph. if your car only can reach around 110 chances are the weight of the spoiler is actuly slowing you down.
Seems daft having such small wheels! You want big 17" or 18" alloys. Look great and makes handling superb. You seem to have done a lot to your mini, you would have been better off buying the Cooper S ya daftie!
