5.3l 6 Speed Automatic 4x4
I love the way this truck rides and steers, which is why I bought it.
One problem is that the truck gets 17-19 MPG at 100km/he on the highway.
This truck is rated at 30mpg HWY and 20 MPG in city. I can't get the city rating on the highway. Also the transmission is scary. When slowing for a light and not completely stopping, and you try and accelerate, there is a bang avery time... Dealer says this is normal? Driving in the auto 4X4 mode the truck has a vibration, and i even had my truck roll out on the street with the transmission in park, the doors locked and the keys in my pocket. Apparently this is not a problem is they cannot re create it???
Every time you try to accelerate there is a hesitation while the transmission tries to find a gear... again, they say normal operating.
The transmission has an econo mode, but this is useless as the engine cuts back to 4 cyl mode, but only at up to 60 km/hr and will not stay in this mode if you are in any kind of incline.
I normally own vehicles for a long time, but I don't think I will have this one too long!
