John Grisham, The Appeal

John Grishams The Appeal is a good story though I hated the ending...too sad, and waiting for the part two that will never happen.

Please don't leave it like this...we want a part two, where justice is served.

I'm through two Grishams; The Chamber and The Appeal....after the first one, i felt like i was left midway through a story and presumed there might a be a part two...so convinvced was i that i even walked into bookstore and asked if there was a part two...of course they wouldn't know...

The second one actually compounded the disappointment of the first one but this time with the 'good guys losing' type of sadness...

John, if we need to be entertained with the harshness of reality we've got so much of that going around, in real life. Spending time on fiction is for realistic entertainment and motivation. The 'realistic' part can also be read 'informative' and probably that's where all that research on facts helps but the overall effect needs to be motivating.
