Argos Travel Insurance

not worth the paper its writen on say they cover you for burglery but the small print lets them get out of paying if you return home as you need a letter from the police that tells you to retune home but they will not give you one as its up to you so not coverd and that goes for fire and flood never trust argos again

Don't bother. We needed to make a claim and they have done everything to avoid paying it. The Financial Ombudsman have chased them twice. They even refuse to speak to us. Save yourself the effort and use a better company.

Refused to honour my sons policy when he needed treatment abroad , he took policy to doctors who phoned the company on medical hotline who said no cover , this despite 10 million limit , these travel insurance companies are legalised fraudsters why on earth they are not fined like ppi scam Is beyond belief , no explanation as to why not covered for a reasonable straight forward medical issue, charged 180 euro by another fraud acting doctor for 15 mins treatment ,

No wonder the nhs is overrun with overseas visitors who pay nothing to get treatment here , what a joke

Argos travel Insurance is a misleading representation of a Mapfre policy. My policy failed to pay out after an accident on a summer holiday when I broke a leg, the payout was denied because Quad Biking was an exclusion listed under Winter Sports. I have been in hospitals overseas and in the UK for over 6 weeks, with 6+ months of recovery ahead, Argos were misleading in selling this policy. Where they describe "winter sports", should actually read "any sport whatsoever at any time of year in any climate".
