I booked a 2 bedroom apartment in Glasgow with Art Deco Roomz for me and 3 friends for 2 nights costing a total of £130, we arrived just after 2pm as that was the time we were told to "check-in" only to not even be able to gain access to the apartment block as nobody was there. After ringing the bell for some time a janitor appeared to let us into the lobby where he allowed us to wait until we could contact the owners who eventually answered the phone and admitted that they no longer even owned the 2 bedroomed apartment they had booked us into. Instead they offered the 4 of us one of their 1 bedroom apartments for half the price, at the time we were trying to look for alternative accommodation but as it was so last minute we were looking at a minimum of approx. £190 a night for all 4 of us. As well as not being able to find anything else i noticed an email on my phone stating i had just been charged for half of the £130 for the stay. Upon receiving this email i called up late rooms who claimed i had "checked in" and thats why i had been charged while we still didnt even know which room to go to or where to get the keys. We phoned back Art Deco Roomz for them to explain which room it was and that the door would be open with the key inside. So the 4 of us figured we would just have to make do, we went up to the room to find it FILTHY, dirty dishes everywhere, dirty towels with some very questionable stains, a mouldy sofa, and one broken double bed. We then called back again saying how unhappy we were with the situation and spoke to someone claiming to be a manager who offered to send out somebody to clean it and assured us that we would receive a full refund. Once it had been cleaned properly we were more comfortable staying there however still unhappy with the fact that 2 of us got the bed while the other 2 had to sleep on the rather disgusting sofa. A couple of weeks later we were seeing the funny side until i reveived my visa bill stating that not only had the original £65 not been refunded but that a further £65 had been charged, charging us the full amount for a 2 bedroomed apartment we never got to stay in!!! This is still ongoing and i am yet to be refunded for this stay and the fact that late rooms don't seem to be able to act on my behalf or refund me in anyway i no longer trust booking through this site after many months of using it. Really disappointed and angry about what's happened, it's a real shame i have to give a minimum of 1 star because if it was up to me i would have given a negative number!!

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. As this case is still ongoing I am limited in the comments I can leave here.
However one thing I can say is given the awful experience you had with this property and its owners/managers, the decision has been taken to cancel our contact with this property.
It does still appear on the site for the time being, however no rooms can be booked and the hotel will be permanently deleted at a later date. We will not work with the owners again even if they purchase a new apartment.

I am very sorry this happened to you, its clearly down to the poor standard of the alternative accommodation and behavior of the owners.
I hope this response at least demonstrates that where guests have such a bad experience, we take on board the comments and will review our relationship with such properties.
