My Family and I are always on the look out for alternative and off-the -beaten track type holidays, well we struck gold this time. La Jaime is an authentic Beduin tent fully serviced to provide full elctricity, hot water, toileting, bath/shower and cooking facilities without compromising the tent and the rural tranquility of the spectacular mountaineous surroundings.
It was trully fantastic, waking up in the morning , opening up the tent , breakfast outside and off-course the ritual swim before breakfast in the fresh water pool overlooked only by the guardian alpine and almond trees and mountain walls.
Its removed and peaceful without being isolated or lonely.
We met with other interesting guests over a social evening dinner hosted by the wonderful astute Williem and Richard.
The drive up and down the mountain was endlessly breathtaking , and I suspect if we'd stayed longer than our week we would still be in awe of its wondrous beauty.
My concerns of mosquitos, stiffling hot nights in bed with no air conditioning and no phone coverage for work were all layed to rest, and the lack of telecommunications until you got down the mountain was an added bonus in reality; everything else was not an issue, in-fact for parts of the nights we needed quilts because it was chilly (we went first week in July).
I must add that my kids are aged 10 and 15 yr.s and I personally would not take younger kids there purely because the emphasis is on tranquility.
I loved it, we all did and highly recommend it.
