Me and my spouse recently went for the ''Swiss Express'' tour from 17.04.2014 to 21.04.2014. Though we had got good feedback about Star Tours, our experience was not quite good.

Itenary : The itenary was very poorly planned.On one hand, we literally had to run to cover all the places in Mt. Titlis, while on the other hand, got more than an hour in Zurich which was not required. We were taken to Lucern for shopping on a day when all the shops were closed for Easter.

Tour guide : Though behaviour-wise, he was good, but lacked the basic requirement of a tour-guide, i.e, very less informative. We crossed all beautiful places not really knowing where we are, if the place had any significance etc. His only task was to ensure that we come back to the bus ON TIME!!

Food : The quality of food was very average, very less variety for both breakfast and lunch (which were included in the trip fare). The arrangement was horrible. We were made to stand outside a restaurant in a queue, as there were more than 350 people who had assembled into the place from 7 different coaches of Star Tours, but the restaurant had the capacity of accomodating hardly 70 to 100 people.

Hotels : The hotel that was provided for the first two nights was just average. The pillows were very bad and the breakfast was not quite elaborate. The last night was at Ramada, which we could hardly enjoy the stay as we had checked in at 8 pm and left the hotel 6 am the next morning. Last but not the least, even though we took the pain of getting up at 5 am, we still missed the train from Calais at 6 pm in the evening and the tour guide seemed very reluctant about it!

So, the overall experience was not really upto the mark, but still was OK considering the price that we paid as Switzerland is a very expensive country.
