Booked a trip to Oz via Bangkok but 3 months before departure a member of the travelling party became unwell and it was clear he would not be able to travel. We contacted STA via phone, email and even called into the office in London. We provided them with medical certs to prove the member could not travel however STA showed absolutely no sympathy towards the passenger and it took them 8 weeks to respond to our initial email. They evenually took almost £400 from the flight for this person a month after th flight had departed. £275 cancellation + admin fee + multi pass etc. We further contacted them serveral times and told them could they waive the fees due to the circumstances. After 3 phone calls and 7 emails they have still not responded. There attitude is discusting. We contacted Jet Star and a train company who we had made bookings with in Asia and they provided a full refund no questions asked. Will never book with STA again. Staff are useless and customer service is appauling.
