Regarding Economy Bookings Insurance program… Booking #B71654680 (Updated info 12/16/2025)

Earlier I posted complaints about Latvia based Economy Bookings, but wish to update on the latest efforts to be reimbursed for a claim submitted I early August 2025. Please follow so you NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!

• On April2, 2025 we purchased the full coverage for a car rental through Lotus Car Rental in Athens, Greece for a premium of $181.31. We opted to do so since we planned on having the car for about two months (June and July)!

• When we turned the car in at the end of July the rental company charged us approximately $700 for some “minor scratches” that needed to be repainted (another issue, but more related to the rental company itself).

• Claim submitted at the beginning of August with all required documents sent as requested.

• With no significant acknowledgment from Economy Bookings, we tried several times to contact them by phone, but with no meaningful results sine they were very difficult to reach and, when getting through, no one seemed to know what was going on!!

• As a result of my last review, they reach out to us and put us in contact with a “claims senior supervisor”. These directives came first from “Laureen” and then from “Kelsie” allegedly from Economy Bookings. Talked to who I think was named Jamal.

Over a period of two days I tried working with these so-called claims people. They said they will pay the claim and had me download three different international monetary sites. IN ALL ATTEMPTS THEY WANTED OUR BANKING AND/OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND (MY BAD) WORKED WIYTH THEM ONLY TO FIND THESE WERE ONEWAY OUTGOING WIRES, THUS I SENT THEM OVER $3,000 USD WITHOUT ANY REIBURSEMENT FOR THE CLAIM FOR US!! FORTUNATELY FOR US, OUR BANKS BLOCKED THESE AND THEY DID NOT PROCESS!!

Furthermore, the contact(s) were blaming us for not cooperating since we refused to follow the same process that nearly cost us thousands and were told to “take them to small claims court” (like that would work with them being in Latvia!). IF THEY WERE LEGITIMATE, THEY WILL HAVE THE CREDIT CARD ORIGINALLY USED TO PURCHASE THE POLICY AND SIMPLY REIMBURSE BY CREDITING THAT CARD!!

• These are the reasons I believe them to be a scam and urge and plead with anyone thinking of using them…CONSIDER OTHER OPTIONS (YOUR CREDIT CARD MAY OFFER INSURANCE, FOR EXAMPLE) AND DO NOT USE!!! WE MADE THE MISTAKE AND WERE SIMPLY FORTUNATE THAT OUR BANKS HAD OUR BACKS!

I booked and just returned a car. Price and service is very nice. I recommend and will use it for my next travel.

The car provided was very old and noisy, we asked to give us another but the manager at the counter said they didn't have any cars available... we liked the price we paid but I think a car could be better... Fortunately we needed it only 3 days, so my three stars only

Booking process very easy, price great, no need to pay extra at the counter. Besides I saved a lot booking economy car.

we were looking for cheap airport transfers in tenerife but the price for two way private transfer was huge enough to think about car rental at the same price but for the entire trip (8days). we booked it here and happy we can use the car when we need to go see something.

I like the car and the price I paid. Clean, fast, compact Toyota is the best option for any trips.

This might be negative review because the car provided was nightmare, but my complaint was considered and resolved in a very professional manner and I was able to change the car the following day. The new car was much better but the first day was not so good.

I wouldn´t change anything, the car in Tenerife was good enough. The only problem was smoke, it seems people who rented before smoked a lot in the car. We had to drive with open windows for 2 days, then all was fine. We picked the car at Tenerife Airport North, the car was provided by goldcar.

And again, another great vacation with the help of E.booking. I use them around 2-3 times a year, and always get what I want for my money. Thanks, and Happy New Year to all their staff.
