We Had The Best Time

The whole family really enjoyed their time when we went and we will definitely be booking again when everything opens back up!

Gave Me A Refund But Won't Send The Payment.

Breakfree cancelled a booking for 15/05 and informed me on 12/06 that they were processing my refund and it would take upto 28 days.

Roll on to today , 31/07 and still no sign of my refund and Breakfree have ignored any attempts to contact them for an answer.

Would you recommend to a friend?

I wouldn't recommend these to an enemy.

Avoid

They cancelled our holiday in March 2020 due to covid 19 not a problem we understood, they said wait up to 28 days for the refund we got a partial refund after numerous emails back and forth and with the added pressure from a third party assisting us in getting the refund this took 84 days until the payment was put back onto the card which paid it

We are still owed money and it is now 105 days since cancellation they are saying they processed both payments on the same day ( deposit and outstanding balance) but only the latter has been paid back

Their customer service is diabolical so if you book through them and they cancel expect a long wait for your refund

We will never use them again

Problems Booking Disabled Caravan

I have been booking caravan holidays through break free newspaper promotions and have been happy with the booking process up until this year.

I collected the newspapers looked at available dates.

I needed to book a wheelchair friendly unit. I rang the telephone number as advised on the website. I asked to book two breaks no problem was the answer. I gave areas would like to visit this ranged from Cornwall,Devon. Had to name various dates and parks. Provided as many dates and parks as I was allowed.

Waited over a week for them to call me back.unable to book me a caravan. Will now have to book direct.

£15 Mail Holiday - Misleading, Incorrect Information

We have booked a £20pp "luxury caravan" short break (3 nights) at Riviera, Brixham. A) They have no caravans B) Luxury is classed as silver & £20 short break for 2 people is now costing £128.70!! I will never book with Breakfree Holidays again. I called Breakfree and spoke to the most unhelpful person who said the booking is not incorrect, I should have read the T&C"! The trouble is that they generically apply all accomodations to all parks. I suggested they state the same standards as the sites i.e. standard should say bronze, luxury should say silver. They are the most misleading company I have ever dealt with and you can't amend your booking once it is made as per the review below.

Disgusting company!!!

P.S. I asked for the Head Office address to put my complaint in writing, which I was given, but when I asked for their phone number was informed "the same number you have called today". I will write to them but am not expecting a favourable reply as it goes to the same person!.

Read Their Booking T&c's Very Carefully

Using the Daily Mail Rewards Promotion I booked a short break with Breakfree Holidays at a Park resort Holiday Park. Unfortunately I booked the wrong dates and as soon as I realised this, approximately 20 mins later, I emailed Breakfree to see if I could change the booking details. WHAT - No chance!! I made the fatal mistake of not reading their Terms and Conditions before completing the booking and paying for my break. As far as they were concerned that was that, I either went on the date I had booked or I forfitted the break and my money, all of it. To me their customer service approach is, "the answer is NO, what's the question".

I decided to phone them thinking they couldn't be that rigid and Possibly if I paid some kind of admin fee I could get some satisfaction, but just like the iron lady there was no room for manouvre. I had ticked that I had read the T&C's so I had lost my money and that was that.

Finally I contacted Park Resorts, the company who were actually providing my break, and thank goodness they did agree to change my booking dates for a reasonable admin charge so my money is not totally lost.

Feeling that I needed to let other prospective Breakfree customers know about my experience I posted a message on their Facebook site, not really the done thing but I was very annoyed, anyhow it did spark a response from someone who was very appologetic and suggested That if I contacted them personally with full details they would look into the matter and get back to me. Well I fell for that one as well, yes you've guessed it, I'm still waiting. Typical. So be warned, if you are booking a holiday/short break with this company don't make any mistakes with your booking cos they are only there to take your money, not to help you.

Would Never Use Again.

I booked a holiday with these for a caravan park in the UK, only to discover that the holiday park I booked had numerous people complaining about the poor conditions of the park, such as: damp, mould, urine/smoke/sick smells, dirty accommodation, faulty toilets/showers/white goods/sofas, etc, and many pictures to support these complaints.

Not wanting to risk this, and the affect it could have on my partner's asthma, i contacted BreakFree Holidays within an hour to ask if i could either cancel my holiday or switch to a different park, as I had not yet received any written confirmation of my holiday.

They informed me that if i cancelled I would not get a full refund, nor could i transfer to a different park without losing 60% of what I paid for the holiday.

I found this service to be terrible and their terms and conditions unfair as they don't offer any cooling off period, even though the distance selling regulations states that online goods should offer 7 days.

I would not use this company again nor recommend it!!
